yep..........that's what a sister told me today on the phone.. i emailed her because she is in the pedo's congregation and knows the family of the toddler i saw the pedo with.

i needed information and i knew she would be happy to speak to me.. after the initial pleasantries and chit chat, after her telling me how the convention talks brought out that the borg needs to be realistic with it's expectations of children, after expressing joy at my family's happiness since leaving the borg...................i asked her about the brother who's child was being pushed by the pedophile.

when she told me there are 2 kids in the family, a boy and a girl (a perfect package for the pedo), she asked me 'why all the questions?

Was the perp convicted? Is there a registry in your locale?

LOCAL JW BUSTED FOR KIDDIE PORN

i just saw on the local news that a jw i have personally met and whose family i know was arrested for child pornography.

he is only about 30 years old.

this is the second case in 2 months involving an arrest for a child sex crime within the same congregation (the man on the news actually moved away a few years ago).

do you think that god enjoys killing people?

it sure sounds like it to me; jw doctrine more or less scared me into thinking that god is going to kill all persons whom he/she thinks is not doing his will.

my question is, how can god kill someone for not being "christian", or following the bible out of sheer ignorance?

Do ExJWs Feel They Must Become Elders and "Elderesses" Now?

do you think that some people who might've been elders might still want to act as elders in the real world?

are some wannabees that were never "good enough" to get a "privilege" out to show they now have muscle and authority?

do sisters that felt slighted by the whole chemistry of jwism, now feel they must show they're really not second class citizens?

However... i do think that when one is consistantly confronted with attitudes/circumstances that minimize one's abilities or intelligence, excess the other direction is likely. Example: My first trial was before an older male judge who looked down his specs at me (from a very high bench) and asked, with the jury present: "do they let baby girls like you play at lawyering now?" If you don't think THAT shaped my personna as a woman AND a lawyer.....

Identity Cards ... good or bad idea?

one of the questions in the uk at the moment is whether we shoudl have identity cards or not.. the government, who wants them, claims they will "help to prevent terrorism".

spain and the usa both have identity cards and they have had big terrorist attacks.

it's never been explained exactly how they will stop terrorists.. my personal opinion is that they are just another government play to control people, another form of tax (you can bet it will cost us to get them) and i have my doubts as to whether the government could run a large scale it project of that magnitude (given it's track record) and whether the estimated 3bn won't end up many years late and at least 10bn over-budget.

a thought: I wasn't raised in the "troof", but the identity card idea leaves me "still concerned". In Tejas we have a bumper sticker (poor white trash that we are) that says "POLITICIANS PREFER UN-ARMED PEASANTS".. kimberlee d.
