  Thanks for the thread and your efforts. Most JW's don't have a clue about the identity or leanings of Lewis or any other apologists.

  I am glad I don't have to sit through this ignorance.

  The Wt Study could be a celebration of life, a time where like minded members share in ecpressions of faith and love and solidarity. Instead, I reflect on the fact that the WT

  study is really a celebration of ignorance and bigotry and a reinforcement of what is hateful and hatefilled. It brings out the worst sentiments in people as evidenced by the vitriolic comments members spew against anyone and anything that is not WTS approved all the while having not a clue about what they are hating or why they are hating.

  Religion is evil. And this little sect is no exception.

  hey all.

  right i honestly don't keep up to date what is happening with the jws' changes of thought.

  my aunt - who is now listening to reason & is starting to search outside of jw beliefs, mentioned that they were at their bookstudy and the brother said ""we'll be skipping the next paragraph, as there is a change in thought""".

  in a simular article posted by a renee k. gadoua*, whom stated 'jehovah's witnesses refer to god as jehovah' is a remarkable statement because it wasn't to long ago when jehovah's witnesses would confidently say that jehovah is god's name even pointing to isaiah 43:10- that the name jehovah's witnesses is bible based.

  as a matter of fact, a feature used when offering their bible for volunteery contributions is it restores god's personnel name 'jehovah' some 6000 times plus, to it's proper place in the scriptures.

  interesting actually...time...we all live our lives in the stream of time.

  we go to work raise our families pursue our careers and yet we all burn in the same stream of time...the fire is so short lived we long to discover the other side of our time what is out there what awaits us...i do not know i would like to think there is something else but until our fire burns out we will never know...

  supposing local elders were to approach me with a view to a 'judicial committee' and subsequent disfellowshipping.

  law # 1 i believe everything the 'society' says.. law # 2 i also believe everything the 'society' has ever said in the past even when it contradicts law # 1.. law # 3 i also believe everything the 'society' will ever say in the future even when it contradicts law # 1 and law # 2. law # 0 (zeroth law) i believe law # 1, 2 and 3 all at the same time.. please don't disfellowship me.. .

  I say sue all the elders on the Body. It isn't about winning, it is about making them miserable. And regardless of what Legal says to the elders, they will be on their own if you

  sue them as individuals.

  First, they will receive a summons and will have to appear in court, either in person or by proxy, to give an answer. This usually requires a lawyer. If the judge dismisses, then you can file again until you draw a judge that will let your case proceed. Then you can depose them as individuals and ask all sorts of embarrassing questions,

  For me, it isn't about winning, it's about making them squirm. They feel like God is behind them. My attitude would be: OK, then, do you feel lucky?
