  i came to the threads about rr a little late this week.

  the tenor of many of them really surprised me.

  some were downright vitriolic.. i have seen rr around for quite some time.

  of adam and eve.. why does an omnipotent and omniscient being need to "test" his creation?

  part of the wts theocratic war strategy on the blood issue is to tell the rank and file to say to doctors and others that they have the right to refuse medical treatment of any.

  When Elders Take Congregation Funds

  health care/vehicle/ etc..... usaully there is no great discussion involved, the service department sets a quota and the elders' rubber stamp it.

  they then form this.

  into a "resolution" for the general congregation which they present at the service meeting.

  Finally had it out.....

  i told my wife i was going to sell everything: the houses, the investment properties, the cars, the boat, the business and give it all to the poor.

  she accused me of being a hypocrite because jesus didn't have any of the things i do, including "a place to lay his head.

  " so i lay down the challenge: i told her i would get rid of it all.... tomorrow.

  so three weeks ago my wife and i had an emotional discussion wherein i finally told her that this religion was not the truth.

  there was much emotion, a chill has ensued in our relationship.

  (i haven't been to a meeting in 4 months now, and have not reported time in two months) i am sure many of you know the drill.. towards the end of our conversation, she asks: but what do i tell the friends when they ask about you?.
