His will is the same BEFORE the resurrection as after it, right? This was always a glaring contradiction used to get people out in field service.

Actually, regular meeting attendance and a full share in the ministry increase coordination, concentration, and add to a restful sleep. All contribuing factors to Serana's win!

i have just been informed that something is going in with the blood issue within the borg.. a large meeting is being held this weekend with local elders and also many elders from all over the country/the united kingdom and members from the bethel and hospital liason committee to discuss the blood issue.. is anyone else aware of what this is going to be about?.
i wondered whether this would be part of the expected or possible changes that the organization is expected to announce this year that might lose them many members.
any elders here know anything?.
I don't know about the UK, but the blood issue (fractions, procedures, etc,,) was the topic at the Service Meeting.

she recently went on a rant about how i need to go to meetings and that she knows the wts is not perfect but its the closest thing.
she kept trying to gode me into spilling everything... i simply put it to her in an illustration and it made her really think.... in response to her telling me that its the closest thing to the truth i told her my feelings: "if i was eating a peice of delicious chocolate... and then the baker told me she picked up dog poop with her bare hands and didnt wash them before she made them... would you still eat it?
sure it still may taste good, but would continue to eat it?".
Great illustration. My wife just says to me that I don't like other people telling me what to do which is why I have a problem with the WTS.

especially if her mate is in direct opposition of the truth.

Your husband may simply be reacting to his fear of losing you. After all, he beleives the meetings, FS, etc... are the way to salvation. I would
reassure him that your relationship with him is not at risk. After all, you loved him BEFORE the "TRUTH", and your feelings haven't changed.
I will tell you, though, that as a JW elder, I have seen people choose the Org. over their mates. Although I had a sister with 2 kids and non-JW husband once tell
me: "what a moron I was!"----- this in response to her own story of wanting to leave her husband, the father of her children, for a religion.
when i'm discussing problems i have with the wts with my family they often say well they make mistakes just like the early christians did, they are not perfect.. i try to argue that if you think that way you can go to any christian church and say the same.
but usually they say that compared to other religions the wts makes less mistakes so you should go there.. i know that such reasoning doesn't make sense to me but what is a good response to this?.
You have to use the tactic they do when preaching: waiting for a vulnerabilty. Sooner or later every JW experiences an injustice so deep from the the org.
or made possible by the org. that they will question whether it is indded God's Organization. THAT"S the moment to take advantage.
