  Cold Weather Dress Code for Witnesses

  with the advent of cooler weather (at least in canada and the northern us), one might think of how the witnesses are going to cope.

  for certain, dress codes are going to have different effects now than they did when it was broiling hot.. men are going to be more comfortable now.

  cooler weather means that the coat is not going to create as much heat stroke risk as it did in the heat of mid summer.

  had the nerve to counsel teddy j of the gb about the unkind way things were communicated.

  to the assembly hall staff, citing the counsel the service department wasn't following it's own advice .

  they give to elders about treating the friends with kindness and respect.

  How to stump someone that believes the noah's flood happened.

  one of the key peices of evidence that people sight to try to prove the flood happen is the fact the most cultures have a flood myth or story as they put it.. i was just watching a program that also points out the most, if not all cultures believe in dragons.

  even cultures that evolve in isolation have beliefs in dragons and they are all simular though not the same.

  just like the flood myth.. so if they believe the flood happened because so many cultures have flood stories.

  The whole point of the flood was so God could rid the world of the ungodly and preserve alive the godly, right? Then if he did it BACK THEN, why the hell didn't the "issue" of his universal soveriegnty end up as resolved? FINITO. Either it never happened or, if you follow the beleiver's God-logic, destroying an entire ancient world just didn't satisfy God--- only the destruction

  of a modern and much more populated world could prove his goodness, love, and almightiness.

  To me, and I am a believer in God, all this Bible stuff is wholly incompatible with a being capable of creating every other thing both animate and inanimate. It smells of legend and the tools of fear used by men to rule other men with that fear.

  The more I actually STUDY the Bible, the more UNBELIEVABLE it becomes.

  2007- Witness Meetings= Why can't women wear pants/trousers??

  when my mum went to her first meeting she was dressed to perfection, she wore nice ladies dress trouser/pants.

  the witness stuying with her told her it was "not apropriate" to wear this to the meeting...in 2006 i was in a congregation where a sister would put a skirt on over her pants she wore to work.

  it looked weird, but the pants ban still is in force 2007.

  Men make the rules. It is man made, male run religion. If the GB had to wear skirts out in service in 10 degree weather in Michigan, I'd bet they would find a scripture to justify wearing pants.

  This is an American, male, midwestern cult.

  While true Christains may not take whole blood, they may take any of a number of blood fractions that the Faithful and Discreet Slave has determined through their communications with those who have been resurrected to heaven (as seen in the vision given to John by JesusChrist.) This concession on the Creator's part in no way negates the validity or force of the blood ban; it is merely a mercy shown to those who have a weak faith in his promises of a resurrection. Those with a strong faith need no such concession, and therefore refuse all blood products for themselves and their children. By doing so they receive a reward now, that of a clean and sterling conscience before God, and may go to Hades confident that their memory will be etched securely into God's perfect brain.

  Bethel- Which Governing Body member had a Nervous Breakdown and why?

  in 1934 karl klien had a nervous breakdown while serving at bethel.

  baptized at 12 he didn't go door to door till he was 18...while serving as a teenage elder!

  Karl Klein was an overrated intellect at best. He was wanted on the GB because the stronger personlities could roll over him. He wasn't a thinker. He wasn't independent. He was a wooss. And he hated Rutherford. That much is true.

  these sex laws have bothered me for some time.

  until coming here i was unaware of all the pedophilia problems in the org.

  the interesting thing about these two bible laws are that if a girl was engaged, and screamed during rape, the rapist only is executed.

  I think you're logic on this one is a stretch. Disagree with the rules of an ancient society if you wish; but to say that this particular passage is proof that pedophilia is ENCOURAGED, is frankly laughable. The law on its face serves as a basis to protect the innocent within the context of its time. Defiled virgins were unmarraigeable and therefore would be rendered homeless and childless. These laws served as a measure of protection for women.

  Polish Apostates steal Watchtower legal corporation inc.- twice!!!!

  yearbook 1994 p.180-189 "1919 {after russell died}...by drawing away most of the brothers for themselves, the opposers gained control of the legal corporation {bible students association inc.} ...this resulted in the loss of the meeting place of the warsaw congregation...the registration of "the bible student association group 2" was composed of brothers loyal to the society..{after 1925 failed prophecy} warsaw congregation was sharply divided...out of 300 brothers, only 30 remained loyal to the society, of 150 persons in lodz only 3 brothers and 6 sisters loyally continued to meet together...three of these opposition groups exist today...the work being done by the "faithful slave' had to start almost anew...now even "bible students association group 2" was under control of apostates.

  it goes on to say, the polish government refused to register a "group 3.

  " however one apostate from the first group comes back into the truth!
