is he a molester?
a nut?
a gifted musician??
My opinion? A 45-year old man shouldn't be sleeping alone with young boys. Especially if they are not his children. Even if he is innocent --he's put himself in a really, stupid dangerous place. On the Martin Bashir (sp?) special he talked about young boys sharing his bed. The guy lives in a universe, population 1.
After paying $25 million in an out of court settlement to one child in 1993 -- a rational, mature, healthy person would be would be saying: "Johnny your bedroom in in the other wing of the house with two bodyguards outside your door."

1corinthians 6:9 men who lie with men will not inherit gods kingdom.
so i guess its ok for women to lie with women cause we're not mentioned in there!
lol
If homosexuality bothers you -- then by all means, DON'T DO IT!
Although if you're really into research, you might want to try it standing up or over a barrel.

Talk about over doing it: I was a little shocked because we haven't da'd ourselves or been df'd - not to mention IT'S HIS JOB TO SAY HELLO TO EVERYONE!
Maybe he should get a sock puppet from the toy department and let his hand to the talking!

does anyone know what russell and his interest in the pyramid was all about.
i no longer have wts literature and someone asked me (a non-jw or ex-jw) and i didn't know what to tell him.. i tried the search and it kept coming up "error.".
thanks, nick
Thanks to all who contributed. (You guys are so smart!) I cut and pasted some stuff -- but I don't know if it will mean anything to a person who has no history with the WTS.

body parts found in subway.
by daryl khan.
It is unfortunate -- but committing suicide by jumping in front of a subway train has a long track record.(Was that a pun? I hope not.) I can remember when I lived in NYC and the trains being stopped while workers collected body parts. End of the world? No, sadly, just the end of someone's life.

who said god had to be nice to anyone?
i was just reading gumby's thread on 'a big old lie' he'd found in the bible.. as far as i got reading, folks were discussing jehovah killing everyone most of the time and i suppose threatening to do again in the future, according to the wtbts.
but why do we expect god to be nice to people?
Why do we expect YHWH to be nice to people? Well, if you believe in the Judeo-Christian God, it's his party -- and you would expect the host to serve cake and have some games and party favors. But then, nobody had the option of not attending. And let's face it, for the most part, this party has been a bummer.
As they used to say down at the Coliseum, "Inter feces et urinam nascemur." or "between piss and sh*t we are born." if you get my physiological drift.

would you rather see bush fail or a stable society for the iraqi people?
do anyone hate bush or america so much that you would rather see military failure which will mean more death and carnage for the iraqi people and the us/allied military?
or would you like to see a bush/allied military success, giving the iraqi people a chance to govern themselves toward a stable democratic society?

I'm sure it wasn't Thomas Hardy. Maybe she voted for Benito Mussolini --Il Duce?

OK, I?m new here. But reading this thread gives me pause. I find it difficult to believe that there can be so many die-hard Bush supporters outside of a Mississippi asylum for the insane. Don?t you people read? Don?t you ever open your eyes to the insidious insanity of this administration?
Writing about the character of Bush Administration, Lewis Lapham said it succinctly in this month?s issue of Harper?s Magazine: "If we know nothing else about the government now returning to office in Washington, we know that it doesn?t hesitate to cheat and steal and lie. Its family values are those of the Corleone and Soprano families, and thus in line not only with the heartland values of the nineteenth-century American frontier but also with the predatory modus operandi of our twenty-first century business corporations; an administration capable of perpetrating the murderous fraud of Operation Iraqi Freedom almost certainly would count it as a loss of face if it couldn?t further serve God?s will by fixing a presidential election."
American democracy is being destroyed day by day by an administration that thinks it is above the rule of law. Immorally murdering over one hundred thousand Iraqis and over a thousand US soldiers behind smoke and mirrors. It is obvious they can dupe a large number of Americans with racist, religious and homophobic fear.
Know I do appreciate the knowledgeable voices in this thread who realize what a danger to the world and the American people Bush and his ilk are.
