My opinion? A 45-year old man shouldn't be sleeping alone with young boys. Especially if they are not his children. Even if he is innocent --he's put himself in a really, stupid dangerous place. On the Martin Bashir (sp?) special he talked about young boys sharing his bed. The guy lives in a universe, population 1.

After paying $25 million in an out of court settlement to one child in 1993 -- a rational, mature, healthy person would be would be saying: "Johnny your bedroom in in the other wing of the house with two bodyguards outside your door."

does anyone know what russell and his interest in the pyramid was all about.

i no longer have wts literature and someone asked me (a non-jw or ex-jw) and i didn't know what to tell him.. i tried the search and it kept coming up "error.".

It is unfortunate -- but committing suicide by jumping in front of a subway train has a long track record.(Was that a pun? I hope not.) I can remember when I lived in NYC and the trains being stopped while workers collected body parts. End of the world? No, sadly, just the end of someone's life.

Why do we expexct Jehovah to be nice to people?

i was just reading gumby's thread on 'a big old lie' he'd found in the bible.. as far as i got reading, folks were discussing jehovah killing everyone most of the time and i suppose threatening to do again in the future, according to the wtbts.

but why do we expect god to be nice to people?

Why do we expect YHWH to be nice to people? Well, if you believe in the Judeo-Christian God, it's his party -- and you would expect the host to serve cake and have some games and party favors. But then, nobody had the option of not attending. And let's face it, for the most part, this party has been a bummer.

Bush failure or stable Iraq?

would you rather see bush fail or a stable society for the iraqi people?

do anyone hate bush or america so much that you would rather see military failure which will mean more death and carnage for the iraqi people and the us/allied military?

or would you like to see a bush/allied military success, giving the iraqi people a chance to govern themselves toward a stable democratic society?

OK, I?m new here. But reading this thread gives me pause. I find it difficult to believe that there can be so many die-hard Bush supporters outside of a Mississippi asylum for the insane. Don?t you people read? Don?t you ever open your eyes to the insidious insanity of this administration?

American democracy is being destroyed day by day by an administration that thinks it is above the rule of law. Immorally murdering over one hundred thousand Iraqis and over a thousand US soldiers behind smoke and mirrors. It is obvious they can dupe a large number of Americans with racist, religious and homophobic fear.

Know I do appreciate the knowledgeable voices in this thread who realize what a danger to the world and the American people Bush and his ilk are.
