After getting an ultra sound, the nurse told me that I was very good at holding my breath.

Where did God go??
by fairchild init has been over 10 months now since i stopped going to the kingdom hall.
i had imagined how i would really find my way to god now that i was no longer being misled by the wts ( for - profit) publishing company.
i kept reading the bible, because people on jwd had told me how i would see it in a different light.

Where did God go? "Who" is asking the question? This is not meant to be a facetious question, but rather to be a prompt to you to honestly investigate and find out. In the examination of "what" one is in actuality, one is faced with challenging one's long-held beliefs about what "God" is. Perhaps "God" is present with you now, but he is not being seen because 'beliefs' are clouding your vision.
Without reverting to beliefs of any kind, what is here now and always? What is it that lets you know that you exist, feels the emotions, notices all thought, and looks out of your eyes without labeling or judging anything? What is the stillness that sits at the core of your being and watches all else dance in celebration; what is the silence within that embraces all the noisy activity around you; what is it that touches everything with a feather of "knowingness" before the mind comes in and twists things to its own end?
When you notice/realize what "this" is, then look in the mirror - the mirror on the wall as well as what is showing up on the mirror of awareness which is streaming out of your eyes at this very moment. Then "God" will take on a new meaning which cannot be put into words. This 'knowledge' of God will arise out of your direct experience rather than come to you in some second hand fashion, and which has morphed into beliefs to be argued and fought over. -

Cool. The first thing I thought of when seeing it was it reminded me of the "burning bush" - odd. Wouldn't mind having one myself.

I really love S & G too. One of my many favorites of theirs is "So Long, Frank Lloyd Wright" - anyone remember that one?

Are you honest with yourself, about how much time you spend online?
by free2beme ini was filling out a form to register a product this week and one of the questions asked, "how much time do you spend online?
" as much as i wanted to say, "about an hour every two weeks," i know it is more.
i don't spend nearly as much time as i used too, and actually go several days without even turning on a computer.

Our dog died. :(
by Mulan inour 15 year old dog died this afternoon..............with assistance from a veterinarian friend of rachel's (princess).
she was old, sick, and with multiple health issues.
it was a really hard decision, but the vet really helped ease my mind, by assuring me it was time.

Sorry to hear of your loss, Mulan. Pets can be great teachers - where else do you get unconditional acceptance like a dog can give?

GOD, Who Is He and Why?
by RevFrank ingod; who is he
since the age of 15 i wanted to know who was god and why he was who he was.
and since that day i've come to understand this, god is who he is because he is life.. i've come to understand him as the creator of all.

"As for popper....I really doubt about an existence before, "IAM."
I am not talking about existence before "I Am". Those are just words which point to a reality beyond words. What I am saying is that you, too, can say "I AM" because there is existence underlying your reality. No one can refute the "knowingness" that they exist; there is a direct "knowing" of one's existence, is there not? We use words only to convey some sort of understanding, but those words aren't the reality. So, with this in mind, couldn't you also state that YOUR true name is "I Am" as well? Are YOU any less worthy of that name than "god"? -

RevFrank said, "As for His personal name....I've studied, done research, and tried to discover His personal name for over 40 years. I've read Hebrew, Greek, Latan, Arabic, and all of the ancient languages and the nearest thing I could ever come up with was....."IAM."
How about when it comes to your own existence? Can you not also assert "I AM"? The "knowing" that you exist is prior to the thought "I Am". So what does that make YOU?
