I think that JW's studying the Revelation Grand Climax book again for the 4th time is preparing the JW's for a "new light" to come out. I feel that maybe they will say that they were wrong about the UN being the beast of Rev and now they believe that the UN is actually being used by Jehovah and Jesus to help the preaching work to be accomplished.

Ex-JW's Pioneers Help! What can I tell my 75 year old mom who "fs" in rain?

but now i am really worried to death for her.
the other day she told me that she was going on return visits with another pioneer sister who is in her early 40's and much, much younger than my mom.

The other day she told me that she was going on return visits with another pioneer sister who is in her early 40's and much, much younger than my mom. It was pouring down rain and my mom suffers from recurring bronchitis. I went balistic. I just can't believe the pioneer sister would take advantage of an elderly woman in her 70's just to get her pioneer hours. I wanted to confront this pioneer sister and tell her off but my mom would just side with the pioneer sister. My mom speaks Spanish so all of the people in her KH always want her to help them with their Spanish bible studies. What should I do just leave it alone or confront the pioneer sister?

i left the year that it was published 1988 so i never had a chance to study it at bookstudy.
but i do have a copy(my mom sent me a copy in 1989 hoping i would return to jw's) and i just can't believe they say the whole book of revelation was fulfilled by actions of the wt society and russell and rutherford.

How many times are they going to study that book. I left the year that it was published 1988 so I never had a chance to study it at bookstudy. But I do have a copy(My mom sent me a copy in 1989 hoping I would return to JW's) and I just can't believe they say the whole book of Revelation was fulfilled by actions of the WT society and Russell and Rutherford. How are JW's going to wiggle around the UN being the beast of Revelations when they were members of the UN as a NGO for over 10 years? Do they still feel that the UN is the beast? Or do they have new light saying that the UN is actually good now? I think with all of their new light it is going to crash right into "old light" and cause many red flags for JW's studying the book.

With all of the negative talk by Born-Agains against JW's are BAC's better?
by booker-t inwith all of the negativity you read on ex-jw's websites and christian websites against jw's, one question comes to my mind do bac's(born-again christians) and ex-jw's think that they can do a better job at preaching the gospel/good news to the public?
while i don't agree with alot of what jw's teach i do admire their dedication in field service something i just don't see in born-again christianity.
i know alot of bac's that smoke, drink too much, cheat on their spouses, cheat on their taxes and don't receive any kind of church discipline.

While I don't agree with alot of what JW's teach I do admire their dedication in field service something I just don't see in Born-Again Christianity. I know alot of BAC's that smoke, drink too much, cheat on their spouses, cheat on their taxes and don't receive any kind of church discipline. I know JW's disfellowship people that refuse to give up unscriptual conduct.

people can't just say yes or no or a direct answer anymore it always has to be with a question, or going in circles without ever answering the original question, or down right evading the question.

I see alot of this on this site. Example I work with a very nice guy who is a "born-again christian" and one day I overheard him tell a girl that all "Jews" are going to burn in the lake of fire for all eternity. I was thrown back abit because this guy seems so nice and It was almost as if I was listening to a KKK member or a Nazi. I thought prehaps maybe I had heard him wrong and later asked him about his belief about whether Jews or going to heaven or not. This guy went in circles for about 30 minutes until finally I just told him forget I ever asked. He would not answer the question with a yes or no or even maybe but he kept going on about "Only God knows" "Christians are not the only ones that will be saved" "What do you mean do I believe Jews will make it" these were the question/answers that I got. So I just went and asked the lady that he was talking to and she told me that I had heard right the first time and this guy did tell her Jews are going to burn in hell. She said she has been told by alot of born-agains that Jews will burn. This girl is Jewish and she said that christians have two faces. A private face and a public face. The public face is all so loving and meek and sugar coated but the private face grow horns. Have anybody else experienced this?

Why doesn't the Holy Spirit know the day and hour of Jesus return?
by booker-t ineverytime you talk about the trinity to born-again christians and bring up the verse where it says of the day and hour only the father knows they will immediately say jesus was in his "human nature" that is why he does not know.
but my question is why don't the holy spirit know the day and hour?
is the holy spirit in human nature as well?

Sunday's public talk about 1914 mentioned 586
by GBSJG inthe public talk of last sunday was about 1914, the last days and the prophecy of daniel.. so the speaker explains how we get to the 2520 years and that jerusalem fell in 607. but after that he must have talked about the 586 date for 5 minutes.
he said that some say the jerusalem fell in 586 instead of 607. but then you would not get to 1914 but 1934 and nothing special happened then.
then he says that jw have published convincing material about why the date must be 607 without mentioning what that material exactly is (he actually said this several times).

I agree with "AlmostAtheist" didn't Jesus Christ say many times over in the book of Revelations I am coming "quickly" and Rev 1:1 says for the things that will "shortly" take place. How long are we to wait for "quickly" and "shortly" to materalize? In the year 3000 what will "believers" be saying about Revelations? Armaggeddon/Rapture is around the corner.
