  I'm smiling too. I don't get angry, at least not that easily. Do I enjoy debate? I do. I have not judged Joel's lifestyle. He is enjoying it for now. Jehovah condemns the lifestyle, but that is another issue and it has been debated on another thread.

  Going back to the beginning point. Titus 3:9 says to shun foolish questionings.

  What do you think that means?

  I assumed what I assumed because of your comment. Why am I here? Should I be conversing with apostates? Well lets see, who am I talking to? there's mrmoe, then some redhosewoman, some ozzie guy, a bear. Well if you consider yourself apostate, then show respect and love for your creator and repent. Before giving me counsel apply it to yourself.

  3 that statement is faithful.. if any man is reaching out for an office of overseer, he is desirous of a fine work.

  2 the overseer should therefore be irreprehensible, a husband of one wife, moderate in habits, sound in mind, orderly, hospitable, qualified to teach, 3 not a drunken brawler, not a smiter, but reasonable, not belligerent, not a lover of money, 4 a man presiding over his own household in a fine manner, having children in subjection with all seriousness; 5 (if indeed any man does not know how to preside over his own household, how will he take care of gods congregation?

  ozzie: Obviously because Jehovah through his spirit included it in the scriptures.

  gopher: Very typical when we don't want to pay attention to scriptures. We just say that was in the past, it is different now. Well it's not. If Jehovah blessed the arrangment in the past, he approves of it in the present. You commit the error nitpicking every mistake that the faithful servants of Jehovah make.

  Your comment about the judicial system is not true. It is unloving to those that love to sin, those that live immoral lives, those that love spreading lies and deceiving those in the truth. REmember Jehovah balances his love with justice.

  For those questioning the F&DS

  an interesting scripture reminds us to be careful of those that question every good thing that the f&ds does:.

  titus 1:10-16 .

  "10 for there are many unruly men, profitless talkers, and deceivers of the mind, especially those men who adhere to the circumcision.

  redhorsewoman: Very nice way to twist things around. Your "mind" is "defiled" as Paul wrote.

  To those talking about circumcision. That is an example Paul is giving on how some kept arguing about this, although the Governing Body had already given direction. Try to get the point of the scriptures instead of making wise cracks.

  I respect you in a sence. You are gay and if that's what you enjoy, good for you. I don't believe that is healthy and the Bible condemns it. But it is what you have chosen, so that is fine with me. The problem is when we try to deceive others, that is what an apostate does.

  MrMoe: And that is only your opinion. It is sad that your faith has vanished, but maybe someday Jehovah will show you the way, if he sees fit to do so.

Let him call the older men of the congregation to [him], and let them pray over him, greasing [him] with oil in the name of Jehovah. 15 And the prayer of faith will make the indisposed one well, and Jehovah will raise him up. Also, if he has committed sins, it will be forgiven him.

  Obviously, Jehovah blessed the "older men" or "elder" arrangement.

  "10 For there are many unruly men, profitless talkers, and deceivers of the mind, especially those men who adhere to the circumcision. 11 It is necessary to shut the mouths of these, as these very men keep on subverting entire households by teaching things they ought not for the sake of dishonest gain. 12 A certain one of them, their own prophet, said: “Cre'tans are always liars, injurious wild beasts, unemployed gluttons.”
  13 This witness is true. For this very cause keep on reproving them with severity, that they may be healthy in the faith, 14 paying no attention to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn themselves away from the truth. 15 All things are clean to clean [persons]. But to [persons] defiled and faithless nothing is clean, but both their minds and their consciences are defiled. 16 They publicly declare they know God, but they disown him by their works, because they are detestable and disobedient and not approved for good work of any sort."

  That is why apostates need to be cut off from the congregations, because they are detestable and disobedient and not approved for good work of any sort. Jehovah sees it this way. Many are deceived by exjw and apostate websites. I do not want to be in their shoes when Jehovah comes knocking.

  Titus 3:9 says "But shun foolish questionings and genealogies and strife and fights over the Law, for they are unprofitable and futile. "

  Good counsel to keep in mind.
