I run an anti-virus scan on any attachment, but I'm especially suspicious of files with an exe, pif, or zip extension. It makes it all a pain in the butt, because a lot of my customers will zip images & other files before e-mailing me. Virus developers should all be beheaded & have their dead skulls displayed on pikes in the village square.

Little Freedoms
by cruzanheart innow that you're no longer a jw, do you wish people "good luck" or say "bless you" when they sneeze?
wish people a "happy easter" voluntarily and not just mumble "same to you" when they wish it to you?
i do, and every time i do i get a little thrill and smile to myself because it's just one more thing i now have the freedom to do, and it's a little thing but i think it shows care and respect for my fellow humans.

Dubs and marijuana
by gumby inyears ago, drugs were classified as "pharmakia"(greek for druggery).. the watchwer did a good job in convincing others that since the pagans used drugs in their spiritistic practices......then drugs were bad......marijuana included......... they invited demons.
recently i heard comments from dubs that medical use of marijuana would be permissable since it wouldn't be breaking the law.. the question is......why the change in classification if this is indeed true?.

Corvin, ya gotta admit that some of those works of the flesh feel pretty darn good.
I was tired of being told that questions about matters of faith were un-Christian.
I was tired of being told that ambition was un-Christian ... kinda like when I was making plans for college & was asked "Why bother with college, Dan? This system will be over before you get your degree and find a job." Yeah, well ... I got that bachelor's degree in 1986. Glad I didn't listen to them.

Sports and JW's (allowing kids to play)

for instance did you know any kids who played little league or high school football or basketball?.
any canadiens who allowed their children to play hockey at any of the levels?.

After a lengthy discussion with a couple of the elders, my dad finally relented & I was able to join FFA & a couple of other activities, but that's about it.
None of us were allowed to play organized sports in school. One of my brothers is still complaining about that 40 years later.

Movies and TV Shows You Didn't Watch Because You Were A JW
by minimus inthis week i mentioned how i never saw the movie "ghost" because it was considered "demonistic".
i also volunteered that that i could not watch "bewitched", although "i dream of jeannie" was a conscience matter......any thing you didn't watch because you were a witness?
