  Ozzie's 101st Weekend Poll

  how's things this weekend for you?

  here in nsw we're gripped by our customary drought and water for domestic use is getting in short supply.

  each day brings another blue sky and we enjoy the weekend afternoons on picnics or just generally outdoors.

  #3. So happy it was over for anther year.

  I never clapped was too busy getting all our stuff together so we could high tail it out of there.

  This reminds me of something funny my son did after one CA.

  After the final prayer he asked me quite loudly ."Mummy is it finished now, can we go home?" ,"Yes I replied", "And do we have to come back tomorrow?" he asked, "No" i replied. " Good" he said. I thought it was hilarous. The elderly sister that was sitting behind us leaned over and said to me "Out of the mouths of babes, he's just saying what we're all thinking" I LMAO, kept me smiling all the way home.

  Help - she's turning him into a 4yr old Borg!

  my ex and i share joint custody of our 4 year old boy.

  we share physical custody of him every other day.

  lately, he has been regurgitating jw doctrine to me about about death, paradise and jehovah.

  I would not start saying anything negative about his mother or the Borg. I reply to my son when he says that sort of stuff to me " Well that's what some people believe and other people belive other things, but it's up to you what you believe." you could add, "do you want to know what dad believes."

  Kids are smart and he will start to work stuff out for himself.

  The other night my son wanted to say a prayer before dinner, in that prayer he asked to help mummy so she could talk to her friends at the kingdom hall again. I'm disfellowshipped and there father is still a witness. I was flabergasted and immediately though that that must be what his father says in his prayers, don't know my son may just have been saying what he tinnks.

  Kids say a lot of stuff they're not sure of as they try to process the information they get.

  Don't start talking negatively about what you're ex wife believes it will only confuse your son, he will repeat what you say to his mother and do you really want to make her angry. You don't want your son to believe his mother is a liar.

  Just tread carefully and think about everyting from your son's point of view.

  Did you wear your badge outside the convention, so as to "give a witness?"

  this year at the dc, we were expressly told to wear our badges at all times, even when going to a restaurant or some place else, so we could "give a witness.".

  did any of you hear follow through with this arrangement?

  did you have one of those "fantastic" experiences, when someone commented on your badge?.

  I rarely wore one at the conventions let alone outside the convention centres, hated the things.

  I can't believe I did it!!!

  well my fellow compatriots, since i haven't posted any topics lately of an interesting or fascinating nature (and probably never have in the past either); i just thought you might all like to know that yesterday i took the plunge and put a closure on my 4 decades of being one of them there jw's.

  you guessed it...i went and got myself a tattoo!

  just needed to share this important moment in history.

  HadEnuf.

  Congratulations. It feels good doesnt it. I had my belly button pierced just before I got disfellowshipped, and then last week I got my first tattoo. A butterfly on my lower back. I love it going to get some more done later.

  Good on you, can you post a picture of it, would love to see it.

  It feels great to be able to do that sort of thing and not have people frowning at you all the time.

  ?Sweet Revenge?

  just out of the jws i had a town house i rented.

  i was moving into another home and the landlord was scum.

  when i moved he charged me for every little thing which was already broken or malfunctioning when i moved in and also charged me for hairline cracks in a 50 year old porcine bathtubs and sinks ( which already existed prior to my move in) the list goes on and on.

  Paper cuts and beheadings...

  whilst i was getting ready for work a couple of days ago, the jackass movie was on tv.

  i sat and watched for a while, as they did everything from run around japan in panda suits, to shoot bottle rockets out of their buttholes whilst the rocket was tied to another guys weiner.. and then came the paper cut scene.

  this is where one of the guys sits in a chair, and lets the others give him paper cuts between his toes, fingers, and even across his lips.

  I'm the same, blood and gore not a problem. Love all that stuff. Want to be a vet nurse so that sort of stuff does not bother me.

  But as is was reading the paper cut thing i was feeling all creepy inside and felt woosie.

  Had Lunch with Prisca.

  i'm feeling really good today.. i had lunch with prisca yesterday, it was really great.

  we talked about the reasons we both left the borg, it was really great to talk to someone face to face about everything.

  the best thing is she only lives 10 minutes away from me, how great is that.. she moved to melbourne about 12 months ago.

  I GOT MY MOM OUT

  ive sent this in again as i dont think it showed up when i tried.. well ive been out for about 4 years now, and have heklped 7 other people to leave.. last week i finally got my mom to read franz and penton.

  she is not going back to the hall again!.

  thanks to many but most notably simon and farkel who helped me.
