Ok with all theese meet-ups going I'm feeling really left out. Is ther any chance of having a meet-up somewhere in Australia. Any Aussies got any ideas.

Protecting your kids
by Lehaa injust saw a great news report on how to protect you kids from predators.. it all revolves around a code word.. you and your kids agree on one.
if someone different is to pick your kids up you give then the code word.
if they don't know the word then the kids know that you did not send them.

Thanks, that tip about what to yell was great.
My kids are not allowed to go tho the bathroom by themselves, my 6 year old boy still has to come into the ladies with me or we usually use the disabled toilets, the only place you can get a stroller in.

Ban on baby strollers at DC's
by razorMind in...is that at all the district conventions?.
did that rule come from the society or from a safety law on the books(fire hazard)?.
if i take a baby stroller to the dc will i get kicked out?

Here you are allowed to take a stroller too and from the convention site and there is an area where you can park them, you can accrss them any time as long as you don't take them into the seating area.

Roast Lamb for tea, who's coming?
by Lehaa ini'm cooking a leg of lamb for tea tonight.
yum.
i just love roast lamb and the smell it creates through the house while it's cooking.. we don't eat much, just me and two little kids, and there will be heaps of left overs so who's coming to help us eat it all?.

Tea, dinner, supper, all the same here, as long as its good and it's on the table at about 6:00 pm it works for me.
Bottle of bubble sounds good too. Who's bringing desert.
Edited to add: oh I see Steph is, yum I love chocky cake to, yumm with vanilla ice-cream.

Rollercoasters (Fluff)

it was alot of fun and for whatever reason, that was the last time.

I love roller coaster , waterslides, anything scary.
Just before my hubbie and I separated we went to the gold coast for the weekend without the kids, did wet'n'wild one day and movie world the next. Was fantastic had a ball.
Here's one of us on a waterslide. Was one of those pitch black ones where you can't see a thing.

Hey xena, my ex has one of those kung fu hamsters, adn I love the kittens.
Only martial arts movies I like are the ones with Jackie Chan.
I do like the Bruce Lee story though. Can't remember what it's called.

BLOOD KILLS !!!!!
by Poztate ini should know better than to talk to my wife over religious matters.however there was a news program that talked about infants and the need for blood during surgery.they stated that they tried not to give blood because of all the problems with transfusions... aids etc.. my wife turned to me and said"it's about time they figured it out because we all know more persons are killed by blood transfusions than saved".
oh hell...i had to take the bait...how do you know i asked????
the society has a blood video she replied.

I've watched that video and I'm sure that it did not state that moe died than were saved from taking blood.
Will watch it again tonight and see.

A question for those recruited as adults
by kls ini remember who my husband was before we were recruited,you know what i mean, his humor,his daringness.
i am sure i changed also but only to an extent because i had to many doughts.
as i quickley ran from the cult ,i could sit back and see the person that i married into the person that the watchtower created.

My ex husband and I were raised JW's but I always think about what kind of person my ex would be if he had the courage to unplug from the Borg.
He would be a much freer and happier person I think, he always worries about what others think of him. Funnily enough his closer friends are not JW, figure that out. I think we could really make our marriage work if he would just unplug.
I feel for you kls and hope your husband can retrieve some of his homour and fun.
