  Anyone ever had a problem with a bat?

  my husband went to take our dog out for his nightly walk last night and as they were headed down the staircase (dark) there was something flipping around.

  both my husband and dog ran back upstairs.

  we both peeked around the corner and shined a flashlight on it.

  not personally, but here in Melbourne we have a huge problem with fruit bats. Lie in the gardens ib the city, make a horrible mess ank racket.

  Personally, i think they are cute.

  Do JWs Marry At Too Young of an Age???

  most of the witnesses that marry are in their early 20's that i know of.

  they have zippo experience in anything except how to hide pimples.

  from what you have seen, are most witnesses encouraged to get married---just so that they don't sin?

  i was taken by talltexan's story about the little girl that died of burns.

  as i responed to him, i've had two such phenomena and feel perfectly at ease with them.

  one is interesting in that it took many years to unfold.

  Anyone know of a Doctor, Lawyer or other "Professional" who is JW?

  ) discouraged, have any of you known persons of higher education to be in the organization, either by completing it while in or became jw afterwards?

  i know of one CO that the JW org sent to law school, he is now a lawyer for the borg here. He was one of my favourite CO's while I was a kid.

  Chilling experience

  o.k....most people that know me know me to be a rational and logical person not prone to hype or the sensational.

  nor am i infatuated with the supernatural as many jw's/ex-jw's are/were.

  with that said, let me relate what happened to me at work last night.. on saturday night, we had four bad burns come in.

  Would have scared me to death. Bit like the Sixth sense kind of thing.

  I do believe in spirits or souls hanging aroung to reasure everyone that they are ok or to relay a message that they did not get the chance say. I would have felt privlidged later, once i stopped shaking, that she had come back and spoken to you.

  you must have touched her some how.

  it has been an absolute long time since i have been here and so much has happened.

  i am now married (13/03/04) and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on 9/7/04 called lachlen.

  he was 7lb 10oz and 50 cm long.

  Hi Kelpie. Congrats on Marriage and baby. I know how you feel about the induction not working. They tries for two weeks to induce my son. In the end he came three days late.

  i've been a bit lax in posting, life got really busy over the last while.

  i've had my own business that's been gaining contracts, but not quickly enough for mortgage payments and cat food.

  hehe so i took a 5 month temp job to supplement.

  Two Elders Stopped By

  two elders approached me yesterday afternoon while i was doing a bit of work on my car.

  unsuccessful at reaching me in my home (mostly because i don't answer the doorbell when they come) they saw me outside and decided to stop to talk.

  the conversation did not go especially well.

  This same elder later came out with an odd diatribe against Muslims, stating that they "kill those who leave their religion".

  No witness do worse the just emotionally torture them fot the rest of there lives

  Did You Stay as a Witness Because You Needed a Social Life & "Friends"?

  recently onacruse made a comment regarding why many jws remain jws.

  a lot of people look at religion as a way to get together and be social with one another.

  let's face it, people need "friends".

  I only stayed for family, had few friends. The only friend I cared about, till chats from time to time. Our kids go to the same school and are best friends.

  The family thing is no longer and issue, the only family I would be lost without still talks to me every day, my sister. and both my parents left before I did.

  The rest of the family I still love, but unless they accept me for who I am then I don't want them in my life.
