  First question: Why are JW's ridiculed so much?

  do you ever wonder why jw's are the most ridiculed?

  they are made fun of more than any other religion.

  it makes me think about jesus and how he was persecuted and ridiculed for being righteous.

  i'm new (duh) to this message board.

  i usually frequent message boards of a more sinful type...lol...but i have been on a search for quite sometime to talk with people who understand where i'm coming from when i talk about the religion i grew up in.

  i get tired of getting that deer in the headlight look or the infamous "for real you sold bibles door to door and woke people up in the morning?

  Memorial Experience

  at my congregation's memorial, i saw two things i have never seen before.. 1. since jesus said a prayer "over the bread and wine", the elders who gave the prayers just before passing the utensils took the microphone out of the podium, walked over to the table, and said the prayer "over the bread and wine.

  " never saw this before in over 30 years of attendance.. .

  2. one elder, probably the most knowledgable, been a witness since he was a kid in the fifties, was wearing a lapel pin on his jacket, very small, looked like a black button.
