plmkrzy, like I said, the teachings of JW's seem more Satanic, than Christian, and if I am not mistaken, weren't the original founders of this religion originally involved with these kind of beliefs from their former religous beliefs with the Masons? Also, who would better want Jesus's birth to be unimportant, or the Cross to be distorted into a Phallic image of a stake? And also, murder, and animal sacrifices are Satanic, not Christian or even Godly. The idea of the stake, rather than the cross was a major teaching of Jehovah's Witnesses when one studied the Bible with them, and to say it really doesn't matter whether it was a cross or a stake, sounds like JW's are again changing their "light" again. Truth doesn't change, or is it based on men's lies and misconceptions. Truth is truth. Jesus birth was very important. Angels rejoiced, and it was celebrated by all those bearing gifts to him. Birthdays were celebrated even by Job and his family. Ones birth is the history beginning of the one born. Jesus did not tell us to celebrate his death. He said to remember what his death would mean for mankind. The spilling of his life blood in behalf of us. His birth death and resurrection are all important and should be recognized by all Christians. Worshippers of Satan place more emphasis on distortions and perversions of this. Since Watchtower claims men are "imperfect" and these imperfect men were used to write the Bible, and today, "imperfect men" are interperating the Bible today and filtering their everchanging intereratations to the congregations, than Watchtower has to fall into the same catagory it applies to "Christendom". Which would mean all Christian worshippers of all religions would fall under the catagories of the congregations mentioned in Revelation. And if all worshippers are imperfect, then the early worshippers may have written thier interperatations of the Bible in an imperfect way and added thier own superstitions and beliefs to the Bible, including the sacrificing of animals, children, women, and virtually anyone they chose. Thier early pagan satan worshipping practices were incorporated in the Bible along with Christian worship, and maybe even the interpretation of Christ'd death was done in the same manner. And maybe Satan is able to mislead the entire inhabited earth by Sacred Books like the Koran, Talmud, Bible etc. Maybe man dominates man to his injury, and maybe the works in the earth now being discovered and taught via the Discovery Channel and the Learning Channel regarding the orgins of earth and mankind are in total opposition to the JW view of the creation account in the Bible. Apparently now Science has proven that earth and the human species has been in existance for many many ages according to DNA discoveries and Astronomy. I think the important thing man must learn and live by are the teachings of human kindness and compassion toward all. Respect for creation. The rules, the sacrifices, judgmentalism, intolerance of others is Satanic not of God. When one can free themselves of religious jibberish, and organized intolerance of others, one can be following the principal that Christ taught. In that way man is in harmony with God and the universe. I really don't care what Jehovah's Witnesses interperate as the "truth" any more than I would care about what Bin Laden believes is the truth. They are both based on what seems to be Satanic in nature. The destruction of humans. Religion is like an addictive drug, and their are many religious addicts in this world annhilating one another. I want no part of it anymore. Life, family, creation is simple yet basic and all important. Jehovah's Witnesses have distorted that. Sounds Satanic to me. Just my opinion.

It Just occured to me that the Watchtower has totally dishonored Jesus with it's teachings about him. They do everything that is opposite of what is Christian teaching about him as the Christ of the Bible. They don't honor his birth, rather treat it as unimportant to be ignored, but celebrate that he was murdered. They instill fear in the message of the kingdom which he preached as "Good News", yet the JW message is really "Bad News" for mankind, with out hope or forgiveness, just destruction. They teach that the GB is the channel or mediator to be worshipped and obeyed over Christ's teachings. They teach that mankind in is not to partake of the bread & wine symbolizing Christ, only a select few of JW's while each year the bread and wine is "passed by" each person. In actuality they teach you to "reject" it by not partaking of it. They teach that you must ignore the day he was resurrected. They've gone beyond his teaching of forgivness as he applied with the adulteress who was going to be stoned. He told her to be on her way. He did not meet with the other apostles in a committee to have 2 witnesses to hear all the details of her sin, but met with her alone and told her to go and live. The JW's laws would have put her to death. The teaching that Christ is just an angel like Satan is an angel is another dishonoring teaching. I would say that the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses are anti-Christian. Maybe they make up what is considered the "Man of Lawlessness" and "Anti-Christ", because just like Satan, they want mankind to be destroyed, whearas Christ and his teachings are for mankind to live in his kingdom. In reality it seems like the Watchtower Society is rather Sataninc in it's teachings and view of Christ.

I find this fascinating and very very sad, regarding the children of Jehovah's Witnesses. Yes, I do agree that they are being taught not to enjoy life, have aspirations of the future, and to develop phobias. I am so glad I chose, when deciding not to attend anymore, that they also were not going to continue bringing my youngest child to the KH with them "so as to enjoy the association of her friends from the Kingdom Hall". This is all so very sad that they can get away with this mind control. This is not religious freedom, it is spiritual abuse.

Silentlambs: Modern-day Folk Hero?
by Derrick inhe's the "knight in shining armor" for many young ones across the globe, who were spared from predators moving in for the kill.
who was instrumental amongst jehovah's witnesses in chasing these monsters off?
it should have been brothers in the watchtower society.

Thank You Bill, for all you have done in behalf of all who have been abused and victimized within the congregations. Yes the victims/survivors are definitely heroes for having the courage to speak out in the face of such persecution from the spiritual leaders and even family they trust. But in all fairness, you have taken a wonderfully selfless, and brave step in speaking out. You have been ridiculed, slandered by Watchtower Spin, and abandoned by friends and family, and why? For speaking out about what is wrong, and what is right. Though they have demonized you among the flock, they have a very heavy price to pay. You have done nothing wrong and will be blessed someday, in ways you may be suprised. Look at Mother Theresa and all she stepped up to do for the needy ones. Yes the children are heroes and you are one too for giving them reason to believe there is at least one good elder who cares more about the simple things Christ spoke of and not the arrogant position of lording it over the members.

Awake Ignores Own Flood Date - Gets Caught
by Jackson ina recent awake article was about the magnificence of niagra falls and how it straddles the canadian and u.s. borders.
in the february 22nd issue of the awake in "from the readers" at the back, one of the readers complained, "you (the awake) said that the erosion of the river gorge has taken place over the past 12,000 years.
this would not tie in with the bible's account of a global deluge.".

Thanks badboy, I knew I had heard it somewhere. I honestly can't understand how they can still hold on to the teaching of the 4000 BC.

They are endlessly programmed at long tiresome repetitous meetings to believe THEY are the ones right, and the WORLD is wrong. Yet, if one thinks critically and investigates for themselves they will see that the Watchtower is always wrong and has to continue changing it's rules as "New Light" from Jehovah. A thinking person having faith in the Grand Creator of this vast universe would realize that he would not be continually changing his mind on life or death issues. No good imperfect parent would even do that. So the question is, do you really belive Watchtower is the exclusive channel to God or just another fanatic fear based cult like pyramid fleecing it's flock.

Hi Ash, I think the thing to remember is that the difference between the Watchtower form of religion and that of other religions is that your freind puts his faith in an intolerant, creed bashing, and destructive negative, hate message. JW's unlike people in other mainstream religions who want to ignore the imperfections in their church, are willing to accept the Watchtower teaching of elitism and social isolationism from "worldly" people. To tolerate such corruption from a religion that claims that "by thier fruitage you will recognize them" is denial and apathy regarding truth and reality. Your friend is happy not to think which is the way WT endlessly instills in it's members. I think for the most part JW's are perfectly happy to live in thier own world until something terrible happens to them that causes them to withdraw and research on thier own as many of us have. For me, it was the abuse issue that caused me to withdraw from those I trusted. But in the end, it was the standing back and looking at the teachings I once believed, and researching that makes me know this is not the "only true religion". That is how we grow from bad experiences, by learning in the process. For me, although it was a horrible experience, I feel blessed that we had the strengh and courage to get out as an "intact family", even thought the Watchtower demonizes families that are able to do this. If you get a chance look up this site and see the difference from your friend's belief system and that of mainstream religion.

Hi everyone, I was watching the something on the Discover Channel, or maybe it was the Learning Channel, don't remember which, it was several weeks ago. But it spoke about the fact that Science has now found proof, by studying DNA of humans that mankind has been around for millions of years and at certain periods in the history of man, there was a recent cataclysmic event that involved a huge volacanic eruption that caused mass extinctions of species of animal, and almost wiped out the human race. They referred to a "bottlenecking" of Human DNA during the events that is carried through the DNA of women. It was fascinatiing, and I thought how this totally would minimize the Bible's creation account according to Watchtower. Did anyone see this?

Flower, what you are feeling is so much like what many here have gone through after leaving. Personal research has been like an anchor for me to have seen that the truth, I believed according to WT publications was not the truth. One particular instance was my research on the "glorious ones" spoken about in the NWT Bible the JW's use. I researched and questioned the WT teaching that they are thought of as the "elders". I looked up the scriptures in the Reasoning Book about Apostates, and then read them in other Bible versions like the King James Rainbow Study Bible, and the Easy Read Version of the Bible that is used by the Witnesses to study with Deaf. This is no a WT Bible though. I posted my findings on this DB and got many validating responses on my research. I believe the thread was entitled Glorious Ones and Twisting the Scriptures. Bottom line I learned that they are not the elders, they are the angels spoken about in Jude. Just this personal research alone helped me in further looking at the teachings I once believed were the truth. It is very empowering to be able to think critically on one's own and to begin to use the mind again. By the way did you ever see the old movie classic "The Time Machine" starring Yvette Mimmiewx?? That is what the WT version of the "great crowd" reminds me of now. Another analogy for me was that once I proved to myself that the Watchtower is not Jehovah's direct channel of the "truth" I felt like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, when the curtain was pulled away and a little old man was doing all the spouting and threats. That is how I view it now, and being part of the real world and establishing meaningful relationships with "worldly" people has been a positive process in re-capturing my mind, heart, and spirit.
