Did I Do The Right Thing?
by Englishman inthis happened just about an hour ago.
i'd driven out of town to do some remedial work for a customer, so i was driving my battered old ford sierra.
coming back into wsm, i was a few hundred yards from a large roundabout and was positioned in the correct lane, ie, the centre one, and slowing to a stop.

Hi Junction guy!
Meeting in Indy would not be for the races. Dan-o mentioned some other attractions in the area-It is strange though that they all involve beer.......
Will let you know when something becomes definite!

Those are so funny! Personally, I would substitute the Crunch 'n munch for a bagful of chocolate covered espresso beans, they also have a nice loud crunch, and you can have the added effect of bouncing off the walls and seats!

Does Anyone Else Ever Encounter This???
by ohiocowboy ini have been in a relationship for about 2-1/2 years now, and it seems that every time we have an argument or disagreement, it usually turns out to be my fault according to the other person, and my upbringing as a jw is always brought into the light, and also my depressive moods, this person knowing background of my exit from the org.
and the feelings it has caused me.
it feels as though they are using this as a "scapegoat", because even if that person comes home in a bad mood, or has to do something that they don't like, and an argument insues, i automatically am made the "bad guy", even though i was previously in a good mood before things started, and am reminded by this person how i must not be taking my antidepressants, or am thinking too much about my past, etc.

I don't consider it abusive, as this person truly is caring, and shows great love in many other ways. It just gets my goat that people know how screwed up JW's are in the first place, and even after leaving, I still feel that I am walking around with a big JW on my forehead. I did talk to this person about what I was feeling, as per recommendations from y'all, and they have given me more slack the past couple of days. I guess communication does really work.
Thanks for all of your support, it is much appreciated!

Hi there! I was diagnosed in 1992, and was prescribed Lithium. The thought of injections, and side effects made me choose not to take it. I ended up hospitalized because my moods were so severe, and it even cost me friendships, and potential relationships. I should have taken the meds. but my stubborn streak told me things would get better without taking them. BIG MISTAKE! I am glad that you are taking your meds. Please keep doing so, it will save you! I am now taking Paxil, and recently my Dr. up here recommended once again that I start on lithium, as the reg. anti-depressants I am taking do not work to their potential on me.
In regards to your kids, I think it will be easier for them to deal with things, as long as you stay on your meds. as prescribed. It would be a lot harder for them to deal with the situation if you were not taking them. Sounds like you have had it rough lately, with all that is going on in your life. I am sorry to hear that. Once you are regulated, things should start looking up for you, instead of the ups and downs that you are used to.
I wish you the best,
CJ

Out of nearly 700 instances in the Bible including murder of Babies, Children, Animals, you refute one person's opinion as to the reason for the Carnage in one Scripture. My take on what the author said was that he was trying to get the point across of Animal Sacrifice, needless spilling of blood, as compared to a fruit offering. Granted, the Author used Sarcasm, sort of the same way that I posted this thread, but the fact still remains that numerous accounts are shown, without refute, that there seems to be an "Air" of Sadism, Cruelty, or whatever you would call it, by a Deity claiming to be "Love".
That is what the WTB&TS does, plants a thought and than builds it to their own liking.
Anyone can build thoughts as to "why" to their own liking, but does that somehow discount factual evidence? That is, if the Bible really is the inspired word of God?
Scenario: A rapist/murderer gets convicted. Somehow, someway, someone will try to add their 2 cents as to why did this person do this, and some would even try to justify it. Fact is, the guy did do those crimes, no matter the motive; Murder is Murder is Murder. He gets the death penalty. Day comes for the "Chair". Should the justices also put the man's 6 month old baby, his wife, and his dog, and pet parakeet in the chair with him? Scriptural fact shows that God-the Ultimate Justice, would have done this type of thing. Would this be right?

The birds are getting ready to eat us?
by santacruzchick inmy mom (a baptized jw who hasn't been to a meeting willfully in years) commented today on how the birds in the neighborhood have been acting more aggressive lately.
how they've been taunting and divebombing our cat, being loud and obnoxious, etc..(the probable reason for this is that our cat probably killed a baby bird or something).
she said the birds are getting ready to eat animals.

Revelation 19:17-21 speaks of the birds eating the flesh of the wicked. I always will remember being taught from a young age, how Jehovah will have the birds eat out the eyeballs of those destroyed at Armaggedon.
I wonder if this is where Alfred Hitchcock got his story line???
