Yes, a Billion dollars is a LOT of money! I couldn't even fathom having that much money. I sure would like to try though...

this is an honest question on my part.
someone on this board asked me 'how do you know' a while ago and i really struggled with it.
in fact, it was a turning point for me.
In regards to the subject of the thread, I recently came to the conclusion that even though I can't prove whether God exists or not, I will live as if he/she does exist. It doesn't hurt me to think that way, and if God truly does exist, I will be acknowledging and giving him/her respect, and if God doesn't exist, it won't affect me either way. That is all I can do right now until a time comes when I find proof either way. I guess that I would still consider myself Agnostic, but have just decided to make an acknowledgement just in case. There are a lot of good arguments either way as to an existance or not, and I just can't come to a conclusion.

I just got off of the phone with her a little while ago, and she is a super sweet Lady and I wish that I could drive out and give her a huge Brotherly hug.
Any words of encouragement I know will be very much appreciated by her and her Son while they deal with such a big loss.

I must clarify my post. I have nothing against muscles on females, and I was no way implying that people with muscles or who aren't as petite as others are any different or better than people who don't have muscles or petiteness.
Males of the Human species are not the only ones who can have muscles, and some Females of the Human species can look just as good as Men of the species who have muscles.

Oh no. I just read about it on the news earlier, and have been following updates, and am shocked to learn that the locksmith was your Son. I am so sorry that your Son's life was taken, and I couldn't even begin to understand how you must be feeling right now. May you be comforted with your memories of your Son, and even though he is no longer physically here with you, your Love for him will never die.

There seems to be more real talent in the British version. A good example is Susan Boyle who became an international sensation. I've tried watching the American version, but I just can't get into it.

ok where i live in the pacific northwest in january of this year this elder from the hall called a special meeting and gave everyone some papers that he had gotten from some government place on what to put in an emergency bag to grab in case you have to flee your home in seconds.
i thought it was just my husbands hall being all strange and stupid over this.
one older sister said that the elder told everyone they needed three bottles of water for 14 days that is 42 bottles of water plus whatever other stuff they put in there not sure if she got that right because 42 bottles of water is a lot of weight.
Hi! A lot of people besides JW's are getting bags ready in case of disaster. They are usually nicknamed Bug out Bags, and you can find numerous sites on the internet that tell you the best things to put in the bags, anything from water purifiers and food to first aid and everything in between.
In the past few years, many online survivalist forums have come about, and they discuss anything related to surviving any type of disaster from Nuclear Fallout to a Zombie apocalypse.
It's always a good idea to have an extra supply of food, water and first aid supplies saved up in case something happens. Many people feel that something big is coming our way, and they want to be as prepared as they can.

Wow, that is sad. She has been through so much already, and to arrest her is a huge slap in the face. There is no telling what is going through her mind, especially at a time that she is probably very vulnerable, scared, and confused.
She is the Victim, and does not deserve being treated in the way she is. I can see how they might need her testimony to get a conviction, but it seems that there would be other ways to do it, where she wouldn't have to actually be in the same room as her rapist. If they absolutely had to detain her, it should have been under her terms, and she should be treated with utmost respect, compassion and kindness especially during this very traumatic time for her.
This is setting a bad precedent, and I bet a lot more people will now think twice before even letting the police know about a crime committed against them.
My thoughts and prayers go out to this Young Lady.
