about my hair.....i think i've ruined it.... i tried a home highlighting kit and had a friend do it for me last night.........now i look like a lemon..... i feel horrible and don't want to leave the house....i'm not sure anything can even be done about it.
kind of seems like it fried my hair and bleached strands of it.. just wanted a shoulder(s) to cry on..... desi
So sorry! I can totally relate though. Having Black hair myself, I decided that I wanted to lighten it up a bit. This was while I was reg. pioneering! I bought 2 bottles of Super Sun-In. Sprayed both bottles on, Went in the sun for about an hour, came inside and.....It looked like Garfield the cat was on top of my head! Bright carrot orange! Needless to say, the Brothers and Sisters had quite a lot to discuss among themselves. Thankfully, there was a sister who was a hairdresser, and after a few days, she was able to dye my hair back.
Don't fret, I am sure it can be fixed!-If not, I have some hats that I can send you! LOL

it has been said that one cannot unlearn what one has learned.when it comes to all the years of learning from the watchtower, is it easy or hard for you to unlearn, get it out of your mind so to speak and go on to learn newer and more meaningful things outside the walls of the watchtower.. when i was active in the watchtower there was the potentially endless cycle of assertions, analysis, counterassertions, qualifications, redefinitions, exceptions,extentuations, complications, hidden presuppositions, emotional colorings,and summations, ad infinitum.it had been exhausting.but now, i find a measure of relief, not from unlearning but from dismissing from my mind all of what i have learned from the watchtower for over 30 years.. and yet from time to time all those things taught by the watchtower for all those years resurface on my mind,so for me it is not easy to unlearn what i have learned.what about you?.

Seriously though, I think that one can never really unlearn, but the info can be filed away in our minds as far back as possible, so that the info that we want to forget doesn't come up as often.

for me it was when i was living in mexico and i got a job as a waiter out of sheer boardom.
the pay was lousy, the work was hard, the boss was an asshole, and at the end of the week i was told that i was not good enough to be a waiter and i was fired.

this past monday, april 19, we had dexter put to sleep.
he was almost 13 years old and we got him when he was 11 weeks old, a tiny bouncy puppy with ears that he tripped over for months.
he was ever cheerful, a part of the family, loved the children and let them pull on his tail and ears and pull up on his back with no grumbles, and a very dear friend.
I am truly saddened by your news. I love all animals, but Dogs hold a very special place in my heart. May sound odd, but I love my Dog more than I think I could ever love another human. The "Unconditional Love" that dogs show is truly amazing, as is the companionship. I wish that more humans could be that way, the world would be a far better place. My heart goes out to you, and even though I don't know you in person, I feel like giving you a huge, heartfelt hug to let you know that myself and others share your pain.

The first year that I moved to Minnesota, I was reg. Piosneering, and I got a job cleaning a bowling alley that had a lounge and restaurant, and also a big dance club attached to it, along with 6 disgustingly nasty bathrooms. I had to start at 1:00 a.m., and it took me until between 7:30 and 8:00 in the morning, had to rush home, do the 3 S's, and get all dressed up to go in field service, meeting the group by 9:00-day after day after day after day-and to boot, working a catering job on weekends along with the regular job, let alone preparing and going to the meetings-well you get the picture. All work and no play made CJ a really dull boy, but have since made that up-BIG TIME!!!
