I try not to think about it too much, but I do feel that something is going to happen. I have been reading more and more on the net, and there are so many things going on in the world, that it seems that it is getting overwhelming. So many people are talking about events happening, starting this year. My brain is getting fried thinking of these things and reading about them. Major terror attacks, Beginning of another World War, Nuclear threats, biological and chemical threats-Yes, these threats have been around for awhile now, but it seems that they are escalating at an incredible rate. Everywhere I read states that these things ARE going to happen, not a "maybe" or a "Possibility", but just a matter of when. I think I am ready to crawl back in my hole again....

by True North inwho knows what will come in the years ahead from terrorism, global warming, conflict over natural resources, proliferation of wmd, et al.?
it's not hard to imagine truly horrific things happening.
i don't think it's likely, but perhaps one day the major powers might even respond to religion-related terrorism by joining together to restrain or control religion under the banner of the u.n.. such events certainly could trigger a response from the fears/phobias that ex-jws may carry around with them due to years of wt indoctrination -- however much repressed these are at most times.

I used to keep the AID book in my Briefcase when I was a kid, and especially during the Service meetings, I would look up different things that I found interesting, and read that. My parents never said anything, I guess they figured as long as I was learning about the "Truth", it was OK.

I too would have to agree with the others. If by CHANCE Armageddon did come, or some other type of humogo-disaster, I still would not go running back. I have been burned by the Org. And personally do not want to go back for more. I may be a little eccentric.....But totally CRAZY I am not!!!
