  Why are some people attracted to Disaster???

  hearing once again about the tragic incident regarding the poor korean fellow, got me to thinking, and has me wondering why some people seem to be attracted to this type of news.

  in just a little while, my sig.

  other will be home, and the first thing he will do, as he has done in the other instances, is to search for the video playback of the execution.

  Have Y'all Seen the new US Nickel???

  thanks to the westward journey nickel series, america is seeing the first changes for the nickel in 66 years...not just one new design, but two in 2004 alone!

  the new designs will take their turns on the back of the nickel, while the front stays the same as on nickels from 2003 and before.

  i think these look nice.....i always hated the monticello on the back, as it always reminds me of how jefferson had his slave's pet dogs killed there, because he felt there were too many running around.

  Does Anyone Else Ever Encounter This???

  i have been in a relationship for about 2-1/2 years now, and it seems that every time we have an argument or disagreement, it usually turns out to be my fault according to the other person, and my upbringing as a jw is always brought into the light, and also my depressive moods, this person knowing background of my exit from the org.

  and the feelings it has caused me.

  it feels as though they are using this as a "scapegoat", because even if that person comes home in a bad mood, or has to do something that they don't like, and an argument insues, i automatically am made the "bad guy", even though i was previously in a good mood before things started, and am reminded by this person how i must not be taking my antidepressants, or am thinking too much about my past, etc.

  i thought it would be neat if we could see what each others canine, feline, avian, etc.companions look like.... .

  here's my love, her name is chelsea, she is 9-1/2 years, and i have had her since she was 8 weeks old.

  she is a golden lab mix, thus i affectionately call her "mutt butt" .

  What Ramifications would there be if The WBTS went out.....

  i as much as anyone would love to see them fall flat on their hypocritical behinds, but what would really be the outcome?

  there are those who have spent their entire lives in the org.

  and many of these are elderly, and basically have only the org.

  What if a close family member decided to join the org?

  scary topic, and knock on wood it doesn't happen to anyone, but.... what if one of your closest family members; spouse, sibling, parent, or child came to you and told you that their mind is made up, and they have decided to join the organization.

  how would you respond?

  what unbiased, loving council would you give them, so as not to ruin your relationship with them?.

  reading through some of the recent posts, ie; the topic of lazarus and the gay issue, i was flabbergasted at what i was reading.

  i can't believe-well maybe i can, that some people on this site are calling gay people "faggots", and telling that person that they are going to get "what sodom and gomorrah got".. this site has been a godsend to me, and have been telling my friends how nice it is to be in with a group of people who can relate to my life, my feelings, my insecurities, and my fears relating to the org.

  and not being a part of it anymore.

  Early WT Literature

  fyi-if any of y'all have any of the societies' early literature and want to sell it, ebay is a great outlet.

  any yearbooks from the 40's and before go for anywhere from 20.00 to over a hundred in some cases.

  also the early watchtowers-pre 30's, and consolation mags.
