I went for a ride in the country this past week-end and seen several families out putting up their christmas decorations, and yes the christmas music is playing and the grocery stores and shopping places I visit have got the christmas decor going on, We went staright from halloween to christmas and skipped thanksgiving.(ok ok I know not as much money to be made out of decorations for turkeyday)

Hypothetical Question
by purplesofa ini don't pretend to know why the bible has the law about homosexuality being immoral.....the only reason logically is for having babies.. so my question is.. there are two gay couples left on the planet.
will those couples go against their sexual preference to keep humankind from going extinct?.

Jeff and all I was so glad to bring the board back up and see this thread and read the posts, I "needed" it. I have never really gotten into a war of words with anyone on this board or any other for that matter, I will however stick up what I think is right and say so, as in stating my point or giving my advice as to whatever the *topic* may be. I do this in the solid world as well as the cyber world. I am not thin skinned but I do have feelings and they show frequently. Earlier I opened a PM from a long time poster on this board and the wording came across that I was being accused of some sort of wrong doing, rest assured everyone I am a little grandma sitting in my computer room typing words to a bunch of people I share similar expieriences with and nothing more,
I understand a need to be cautious, but being paranoid seems to show a need for some reconnection with life and maybe counciling would help if a persons trust is in such danger. (And no I didn't post on someones thread and they decided to send me a PM about it.)
Anyway I needed to write the words to get them out of my mind, and clue you all in on why this thread was needed, love and peace to you all.

I am happy you all got something from that video, I was cleaning house and had the music channel on TV on and only catching bits and pieces of the video, so I had to look it up on the net. It made me cry the first time I heard it, I felt if it done someone some good today or maybe made a few slow down and appreciate someone dear to them a bit more, or just remember as has been said blink and we're 50. Truly not enough time and energy in me to hate or waste time for the precious people out there.

For those of you who don't go to meetings anymore...
by exwitless inwhen you attended your last meeting ever as a dub, did you know it was your last?
did something happen which made it clear in your mind you were 'never going back' (not to be confused with nvrgnbk)?.
the last meeting we went to was the memorial in 2006. we only went because we knew we were already pegged for the elders' unwanted attention, so we had to go to keep them off our backs a little longer.

The last time I attended a meeting I had been missing a lot of meeting prior to that, since every lie and hurtful thing our family had gone through were starting to weigh very heavily on me, we were at the memorial, happily I cannot remember the date/ year, the talk was terrible, the speaker was one of vain'est hateful'est elders I had ever met and my youngest son was miserable, I remember looking at him sitting beside me knowing we were both "sick" from the meetings sick at heart,soul and mind, I knew when we walked out that night it would be the last meeting for him, and soon enough I found it to be the last meeting for me as well.
