Good point to me they are cold blooded murdered. Teaching others this is a sacrifice. I wonder how calculated this all is. Sometimes i think they do now and it is all calculated, but it's hard to accept that because then they seem just evil.

The Real Reason for the Blood Ban?
by Farkel inpeople who are informed about the history of the watchtower movement are well-aware that "new light" doesn't come out of a vacuum.
"jehovah" always seems to spirit-direct his "new light" when the wts has a problem they created for themselves.
this is all bible-based(tm).

catholic church
by prgirl79 inhi well here in massachusetts where i live they were announcing catholilc churches that would be closed, due to lack of priests, and financial difficulties due to the lawsuits.
i was thinking about jw's and how they like this, they talk about look at the catholic church and what they do.
i am not defending the catholic church, but used to get pissed when my ex and his parents would talk about how wrong the catholic churches and other churches are.

I wouldn't be saddened if kingdom halls were closed, I would be thrilled!!! It would be great if they were exposed like the catholic church was for letting it happen when they knew. Everytime I pass by a kingdom hall I literally feel sick, and I feel bad because we know what it is about, I also get angry, and i wasn't even raised JW, but have dealt enough then i ever wanted to!

Hi well here in Massachusetts where I live they were announcing Catholilc churches that would be closed, due to lack of priests, and financial difficulties due to the lawsuits. I am not defending the Catholic church, but used to get pissed when my ex and his parents would talk about how wrong the Catholic Churches and other churches are. I would tell them the same goes for jw's they have done the same thing and have hid it, but no they are in the "truth" and too self-righteous. They are good and this doesn't happen in their kingdom halls. It's funny to me how they use to be Catholic, can talk to others about questioning other churches and their materials, but if i would say something or show them something they would never acknowledge it. Yes they are right and in the "truth" that is why my ex and his 5 siblings turned out great. Just venting!! :)

I don't have any children and was never raised a JW , but that is really great that they don't have to suffer. Too many have given up going to school. Too many have been denied birthdays, christmas, friends, outside activities because it interfered with the all important meetings! Life is hard enough why make it harder raising them in this cult.

HI Everyone,
I sent a post over a month ago about my failed relationship with an ex jw. A little refresher we dated for 5 years and although he is disfellowshipped he never moved on. He still lives at home with his jw parents. After 5 years of no compromise and feeling like i was getting nowhere it was time for me to move on. It still hurts, but i am slowly feeling better. Time does make a difference. Two weeks ago he emails me. Guess it reaffirms for me why i left. I am feeling liberated from this. He would say i would leave him get tired of this feel free, and resent him. Well he was right i feel free no more of his JW crap. i felt totally unappreciated he told his cousin we were on a break. he thought i would come back. He never made friends because hey you can whine to me well now he has no one to whine to. I was tired of him calling me and sometimes being nasty if i was out because JW's are at HIS PARENTS house. I was tired of never having him there for my wedding, funerals, birthdays, thanksgiving. How is this a relationship where it's his way or no way. He was working at the gym i go to but they finally transferred him. I am thakful for websites like this it really helps!! I want to thank everyone who responded to me for your support and encouragement

My Catholic wife chastised the JWs coming to our door
by franklin J inmy wife just called me to tell me that as she was leaving the house this morning to run some errands, there were 2 " nice looking" ladies coming up our drive.
we have a 200 foot driveway and she encountered them already on our property approaching the house, just as she was driving out.
she said she knew they were jws because of the conservative looking clothes and cheap vinyl book bags.

Good for your wife to do that it shows she cares. She knows how it has impacted you. It always did bother me how they called each other brother and sister yet were so cold. I was never a JW (THANKFULLY :) . I do agree they do seem to lose common sense and decency! My "wordly" friends would never have done that yet they think they are better than anyone else, and that they really care! My ex didn't go to the funeral service for his own grandmother neither did his mother how caring is that. I really don't understand how that can be justified. I find it rude, disrespectful and downright cruel. I guess if i died or anyone i cared for he would do the same things because hey who am I! Definately not as important as his own grandmother.
Unfortunately these two "sisters" probably took it one of two ways 1) just a bad incident (witness) 2) or someone else who went overboard and is just angry.

Do JW parents ENJOY watching their kids struggle ???
by run dont walk in.
speaking from my observations in my family .... have an uncle, very successful travel business, very well off, both kids in their 30's 40's never had a job, both in bethel and have nothing.. another had 5 kids , did very well, all kids are pioneers and or bethel kids and have nothing, one just left bethel and now living in a one bedroom apartment with wife.. and they have no future or skills, .
even my one brother, 2 kids both work part time, and pioneer, yet he would never quit his job and go into the full time work, in fact his wife just got a job.. and what bugs me about this, is, they shove it down their kids throats, and yet they would never give up their jobs, they would never pioneer, i find it disturbing and sad.. and i saw this at the kingdom hall as well, anyone have similar experiences ??

I have thought that myself when it came to my ex and his 5 siblings. I would especially think that when they wouldn't encourage their children to go to school. Gee do you want your kids in a dead end job like you are! Also when JW parents don't allow their kids to have friends or participate in outside events. Did they not see how that deprives and can make kids unhappy. I refuse to believe that my ex parents never saw that especially now that they are more lenient on the youngest. They dont make her come to all of the meetings, and they actually let her hang out with friends from school. Oh well guess to little too late with my ex that is why he is my ex and that is why he is still messed up!!

Hi I was with a ex JW for 5 years, and he never attended funerals, christmas, birthdays, weddings, etc. I found their reasoning that it is Pagan and their bible verses against birthdays to be ridiculous. I was bothered more with funerals. How is it love or respect to not attend a family or friends funeral. My ex gradmothers funeral service was in a Catholic Church he stayed outside as well as him mother. When i was with my ex and reading peoples stories there seems to be guilt of celebrating birthdays etc. What if someone i loved passed away he wouldn't be there for me. Did any of you do that how did you justify not attending a funeral, or shunning someone who just lost someone they loved. What are your thoughts regarding this now that you are no longer a JW.

I was with a ex-jw for 5 years or shall I say disfellowshipped but still never moved on! Anyways the whole time we were together No birthdays, funerals, weddings (only reception not church), thanksgiving, christmas. I always felt alone and like i would offend him celebrating these things. It always felt like a lose lose situation. Totally one sided. thought the reasons they gave were simply not good especially with their explanation of birthdays. Also not entering churches for funeral or wedding services. According to them it has pagan roots. I honestly felt that not going to a wedding or funeral service was ridiculous and rude. If someone i cared about passed away my ex would be outside!!!!!!!!!!
What are your thoughts about holidays etc since you have been out? Do you celebrate those things now enjoy it?
