Pass the Jesus I need a hit!
by free2beme ini hate to say this, as there may be some here that fit this description, but people deep into jesus with all that saved talk and accepting jesus talk, look the same as the person trying to get me to take a hit on the bong.
these people seem stoned hard core and in la-la land of some fantasy and wonder why others don't want to ride the crazy train with them.
personally, i find these people to be almost alien to me, in that they seem so into their religion of "save" and "accept" this, that there is no reasoning or even discussing a different subject with them.

JW83 this is the great debate, someone may say religion is invariable based on fantasy and mythology (it's all in the imagination)but someone else may say "sorry I've had religious experiences that were very real and supernatural"
So are these experiences always due to one or other manifestation of the mysterious unconscious mind or are they caused by invisible superhuman intelligent beings?
Come what may humans need a spiritual dimension to feel complete. -

by sonnyboy ini've been out of the org for around 10 years, so i'm not up on some of the jargon being used on the board.. would anyone mind making a list defining the acronyms being used (as many as you can think of)?
i know there are tons of them; some of which are self-explanitory, and others have me stumped.

Religion like so much else is neither good nor bad but rather what people make of it, like the internet or a kitchen knife.
As a rule religions have been used abusively by cowards and opportunists and are not known to be a force for the good in society.
As the Chinese say even the right means work harm when in the hands of criminally minded people and the WTS is a prime example of this. -

I hate feet
by rebel8 inhere in the "arctic" northeast, people are beginning to wear their sandals again.
i hate sandal season.. there are a few people with good hygeine and ok looking feet that can pull off the sandal look.
the rest should not be allowed into public without socks and shoes.. i am sick of seeing callouses, dry skin with foot flakes falling off, dirty feet, even worse--dirty toenails, toenails that have not been trimmed (i do not want to see anything but nails trimmed all the way down), corns, fungus, bunions, deformations, etc.

People wearing sandals probably think it will do them good it helps clear up infections by creating an environment around the feet that's humidity free and cooler, not favourable conditions for bacteria and fungi.

I certainly wouldn't work with a handsome sum in a bank account you can earn plenty of interest doing nothing, so I would spend my time travelling and studying interesting subjects and doing some charity for the poor.

mostly because my new husband has been also doing his own research because i have been saying for years i want to go back, but never have and he had questions about the religion that he didnt understand.
the only time i ever go to the hall is for the memorial.

Tez once you read the book that GBL recommended to you and lots of info you can find on the internet across many websites you will realise that the entire Armageddon concept is false there is no valid reason to believe it is near and more significantly should it happen now the JWs themselves are not fit as an organisation to make it through it due to practicing deceit and unchristian inhuman behaviour.

Nobody should believe anything they say since they themselves keep changing and shifting their doctrines and beliefs very extensively and their credibility is very low if not zero on this issue of doctrine formulation.
As for the so called annointed many left because they saw that the WTS is a subtle deception run by power lusting ruthless individuals.
