Will 2008 Really Bring The End?
by WTWizard inno, this is not from the filthful and disgraceful slavebugger this time (theirs is ongoing).
it is from that ad that frequently pops up on this forum.
they are talking about how this year is going to be the downfall of america.. only time will tell for sure, but it is already mid april and there is no sign of the total collapse of this country within this year.

Scare mongering will never end, some people know well how to play with the morbid psychology of fear and insecurity to pull in followers. No it will not happen. For 150 years now there has been someone or other predicting the end will come next year.

IF there were two classes/callings why were all early Christians limited...
by oompa in...to only being called to heaven as part of the 144k?
god is not partial, and does not predestine people, so why could first century christians not have had an option for paradise on earth?
i got to thinking about this since last year wt opened the doors to heaven again for the masses for the first time since 1935. .

Hi Oompa again, you don't seem to realise that God does not and never did have two classes of faithful one destined for heaven and one for the earth. That is simply a figment of FDS and more specifically Rutherfordian imagination.
All faithful until the end of this world are destined for the heavens what will happen after that with those to be resurrected who knows? I suppose the first fruits are those that made the grade before the resurrection period in their first life as it were and under severe conditions in juxtaposition to those doing well in a second resurrected life under much milder conditions due to the imprisonment of the devil and his angels and the destruction of the beast 666 and Babylon the vicious and ever vigilant enemies of the church. -

The greatest enemy of a False Prophet
by Honesty intimes proves whether one who predicts, conjects or prophesies is a false prophet or not.. .
how many times does a false prophet have to be proved wrong by time to be a false prophet?.
you may say to yourself, how can we recognize a message the lord has not spoken?
-

Time has proven them to be false prophets but even more it proved them to be of an overall very questionable character. Also their writings tend to be abandoned even by them as time passes. Today hardly any JWs bother reading the books of their earlier (false) prophets.

This was really a cult from the very beginning though it became a deeply controlling cult from the time Rutherford took over. As for the GB I suppose you know their policy that anyone criticising them or suggesting changes to their ideology and style of governance is swiftly expelled or at best marginalised. That puts them beyond any possibility of correction they claim they know it all better than anyone else (remember unique divine appointment and inspiration/direction) and can't be touched.

A "Return Visit"'s Experience with a JW Pedophile

There is nothing difficult about it they were instructed to cover up such cases to minimise the possibilities of having to pay damages to the victims. It's a financial consideration by an org which has material wealth as its supreme value.
They were once accusing other religions of having pedophiles while they were supposedly clean, now they know they have plenty of their own. -

Hi Oompa there is no answer to this question simply because the JW doctrine of two classes of Christians is totally absurd, false and unbiblical.
One would assume that the so called anointed or elite should be reaching a much higher standard of spirituality for their far greater reward of heavenly life and a lot less should be expected from the great crowd who can only receive the much inferior earthly life.
To begin with we do not see such a difference in the life and activities of the two classes the anointed just say: "we have been called, we inwardly know it" and that's all otherwise they behave pretty much like the supposed other sheep in their daily lives. The GB who are the real FDS and the elite of all the elite in as much as they lay claim to all authority and direction and thus clearly think of themselves as being especially favoured by God versus the other anointed (in fact they appointed themselves to that position), are in fact the worst of all by manifesting greed, authoritarianism and a deeply deceitful nature. So to begin with their daily actions belie their doctrine.
The JWs claim that God put out exclusively the higher destination of heavenly life until all positions were filled and only then did he make the lower destination available. But Biblically there is only one body of Christians one church, one Lord and one destination. There is no earthly and heavenly destination only a heavenly one and that's how it was from the start. All Christians back then had only a heavenly destination and all Christians now have only a heavenly destination. There never was an earthly one at any time and for all we know there never will be, earthly life is the first lower, weaker, basic stage of human existence a stage of great dependence and ignorance like that of a child on its parents. But of course a passing stage. -

Why Jehovah Witnesses teach a more biblical faith
by tralon insurprizeingly, i am not a jw but an observer and in partial agreement with the jehovah witnesses on many issues.
i have been to many churches in my 30 years and have studied many church beliefs, church history and the bible as well.
so why do i believe the jehovah witnesses are the one true faith of jehovah god?.

Those rebelious JWs you mention never had their opinions properly replied to by the JWs they were simply expelled for having them because by definition anyone opposing the leadership and its ideology is automatically considered to be in the wrong.
As for the Gehena/hell there is in Revelation 20:10 something about the devil and those making up the beast and the false prophet as suffering everlasting torment in the lake of fire and sulphur. -

Apparently someone broke up your family but the good things you did as a father will no doubt hold up.
