For the last 40 years the idea that cholesterol (and saturated fats) clog up the arteries and cause heart disease has predominated yet hundreds of scientists and doctors now doubt whether this is indeed the case e.g. half the people that suffer heart attacks have ?normal? cholesterol levels.
Ideas are now drifting towards processed fats (and processed food in general) and a lack of sufficient fresh fruit and vegetables in the diet as being the real culprits along with smoking and lack of exercise.
Pharmaceutical industries are being accused of creating and sustaining the cholesterol myth in order to make lucrative profits from selling cholesterol lowering drugs which can also have serious side effects.
Having examined the arguments of both sides I tend to agree that cholesterol is not the real problem. Any ideas?

Almost there, I'm glad you found the WAY even though raised in the basically anti christ JW religion. I also had an experience similar to yours and realised how disastrously wrong their concept of the Father/Son relationship was with Christ very marginalised and jehovah over emphasized it was almost like going back to the judaic religion, when did a JW ever say things like we are Christ's people, may Christ bless you, do you know Christ etc
Yet the Father gave everything into the hand of the SON. WHy do they pretend they can't understand the meaning of this? -

Frankiespeakin, I agree with you they are getting more and more into trouble and a critical point will be reached where things will just collapse I can't see them lasting for more than 15-20years and we evil apostates should do all we can to speed up that process.
We can say it serves them right for being so big headed and conceited and refusing all constructive criticism but quite a few people are probably already getting some dough for their bank accounts, there is no one to check what's going on there with the multi billion dollar assets. The end is not coming, the so called annointed are dying away fast, even JW kids are leaving in droves, people are waking up very slowly but surely to this scum. -

There was a time when I used to think that the cold and unloving enviroment in the congs was due to the JWs not listening to such great advice from the FDS as we see here, they are such spiritual and wise counsellors.
However later I realised that it was the FDS that was giving the bad example by being grossly uncharitable, power crazed, and subtly deceitful. They did not have the right spirit that's why it was lacking among the rank and file, they could not give the right example.
Satanic angels appearing as angels of light having an outward form of godliness but unproductive in all good works. This typical watchtower article was written by such people it looks sooooo good and sound when you read it but beware all dubs don't you go falling for it, when dealing with such smart manipulators waters run very deep.
And that jehovah emphasis always gets on my nerves, is this a quasi jewish religion? -

Valid alternatives to the door to door preaching work?
by El blanko inok - so i had a talk/debate with a guy today who insists that he sees "nobody else talking about the end of the world" and that "the door to door work the jws perform is the best way to preach.
this guy has a brother who is disfellowshipped.
he has never been baptized, yet has an ongoing interest and believes the jws are a special people.

This person is not being critical enough of the org he supports, does he realise that the end of the world was always made to appear imminent to the dubs for 120 years now, in 1880 they were looking at 1914 then 1915, 1918, 1925 and up to this day "yes brothers it's just round the corner".
This doesn't do much good to their claim of being divinely inspired (God's mouthpiece)instead it shows them as false prophets whose utterances in the name of God have clearly failed, in Old testament days they would have had no followers as they would have been executed as satan inspired impostors so why follow such people and the religion (ie cult) they have set up?
And it is more than just date setting since they used the Armageddon thing to emotionally coerce people into selling their printed products "preach or else you are blood guilty for their impending destruction", to strongly discourage them from pursuing a higher education "parents why send your children to university when the end is so near", and many people dedicated everything to preaching because "it is such a fine way to end your days in this old system". Let alone all the stress the dubs had to put up with out of fear of not being up to standard so near to the end.
Naive people got exploited (since 1880!)left right and centre. Some smart people made good money out of an enormous slave labour force whereas the dupes never saw their glorious reward coming in the form of the new system. It was always made to appear so tantalisingly close but...they finally got just a lemon.
So it's a lot more than just wrong chronology. -

I agree with Farkel causing suffering to the spirit is just as criminal as causing suffering to the physical body even if less tangible and Rutherford really excelled in this by his doctrines, absolutist style of rule, and the intense demonic influence he introduced in this org. by being a spiritistic channel of demonic destructive energies.

So it looks like the dubs are pretty much screwed up on this they never looked at the small print at the end of the contract before putting their backs under in order to raise a multi billion dollar enterprise, they labour someone else reaps the rewards. They should give it a try but the legal enviroment seems to be adverse to their case. Perhaps with a good attorney(lawyer)....
Perhaps some litigation and compensations for death of children/spouses due to obeying the blood transfusion ban rule of the WTS?

The anti WTS effort should be organised along many lines and this public media campaign that Nic proposes is useful just as providing a forum or doing detailed historical research are useful for other reasons.

If the WTS is doing a lot of things wrong then you should raise an issue with them, and their wrong doing as Rod pointed out and you can easily verify, goes way beyond the unfortunate bethel slave workers.
But you know if you do try to shake off their yoke, to constructively critisize them you will be going out.
