Perhaps that's the best way to get out of your dilemma by gradually fading away it may be better than disassociating point blank because then you will get problems in the family whereas as an inactive JW you give them nothing but get a lot less hustle.
If they can't sit down and honestly discuss issues with people and accept constructive criticism then that's their own tough problem at the end of the day.

I'm telling lies from the stage
by DannyBloem ini recently gave a public talk, and i really felt bad about it.. it was the public talk about the great flood of noahs days.
the is so much evidence that this great deluge never happened, but that is something you can't tell the audience from the stage.
(i will tell about that evidence if people are interested, but it is a bit off-topic now).

The kingdom elite?
by greendawn inconsider that the kingdom of heavens is after all a body of people (who originated from the earth) and who wield political power ie it is a body of rulers with a fixed number of members.
could the jws be right in saying that there will be this ruling body, and another class that of the ruled, even though it is certainly very wrong to believe that they will live on this earth for ever and not have jesus as their mediator and the annointing of the spirit.
were the two proposed classes (1. the elite of all the elite and 2. the elite), gathered in parallel throughout christian history rather than first one and then the other as the jws claim?

what has the watchtower really done for this world?
by JohnHag ini would really like to know the answer to this question--after me beeing in there for 32 years i still dont know what they have done to better the world---they leave as fast as they come in--if it was so great in the watchtower why did they leave?
there are only 6 million jws in the world--there is 6 billion in the world--all i have seen is a bunch of people like zombies---their answer to everything is field service----never call on a person that has doubts--maybe in a year they might call on that person--they rather knock on not at homes--looks better on the time sheet-it took 32 years to find out i wasted my time--too late now--sixty nine and counting--thanks for letting me share--the hag

They've done some good eg helped people to quit smoking and they have more stable family lives. But on balance the evil deeds are far more.

hinduism: this shit happened before

The sum total is that all religions failed to elevate man spiritually to a supremely civilised level despite their stated function.
They blame their members and their members blame them for this. -

No need to be bothered there are plenty of nice people in the world to associate with, a new life.Let them carry on living with their silly illusions.
I believe that in those eight years you made some useful contacts outside as I had done in my 7 years of fading away before disassociating. -

The overall picture is that they have offered nothing good to the world since any good they did is outbalanced by the harm they have caused.
Their leaders are not willing or perhaps capable of properly running a large religious org with complex needs like this. -

Regarding Maturity.......
by Golden Girl ini was reading a post by ip_sec and he mentioned "maturity"..it just so happened i found a interesting jw site and was reading some of their posts... i noticed one of the poster's was talking about maturity and what it was.
he quoted an article from the watchtower dtd 9/1/96 pg 22... and i quote:to grow to maturity, we have to use our own perceptive powers, not always relying on someone else to give us the answers.
i thought this was a pretty good thought..but unlike the wtbts... the first word i thought of when reading this quote was..what's the word i'm looking for.....oh yeah... hypocrites!.

Regarding immaturity there is a lot of it at the top that's why they are not able to face up to being criticised and accepting that any of their ideas are wrong.
Within the framework of that immaturity they made an absolute mess of things, and trying to give advice to others on being mature is pointless since they can not show the good example themselves. -

Why don't JW's list THEIR invitation?
by Golden Girl ini always wondered why the jw religion doesn't list their location and invitation to their meetings in the local "church and worship places section of our paper?.
i was told when i was a jw that it is because they are no part of "babylon the great".
i settled for that.. .

It is transparently obvious that they are an organised religion, if there ever was one this is it.
Everything including their members personal lives are tightly controlled with a myriad rules everywhere and elders use a special secret book full of rules and regulations, as for their hierarchy there are quite a few ranks in it from the humble ministerial servants to GB members.
