It reminds me of the primitive semetic tribe that became the Jews.

Well done you got disentangled from the nets of the WTS ideology and came to be above all the negative emotions assosiated with it.

Reading your bio I get the impression that you had to live for a long time in an impenetrable society because your father was not a JW, that speaks volumes about the quality of the org your mother joined. Perhaps you still resent the losses in life quality directly inflicted on you by the WTS but life goes on and fortunately that's behind now.
Depending on how far you get with deprograming (deleting) the poisonous ideas that create blocks in your life you can heal and adjust to a fulfilling undisturbed existence. -

Presiding Overseer Says They Will Ask If You Still Want To Be A Jehovah's W
by minimus inthe local needs talk on thursday discussed a few different things, according to my mom.
but the one that stood out most was that he announced that based on the new book, the elders will be checking on those that have not been associating with the congregation for some time.
they will ask, "do you still want to be a jehovah's witness?

So instead of becoming less extreme and cultish they will become more hardline. Are they getting worried about the faders being secret sources of "apostasy"?

If it's just a matter of answering a question those that want to carry on as faders will simply say yes, the rest will probably say no, they don't care.
The problem for faders will be if they ask them to become more active or else have sanctions imposed. -

The "Teachers" of The "Truth"
by minimus infrom what i can see, there are no real teachers left in the organization.
all that's around are manuscript reading speakers that "sound down" whatever crap the organization "unitedly" espouses.
the meetings are dull and boring.....yesterday, i had to bring some medicine to my mother and when i came into her apartment, she was listening to the service meeting via telephone.

Let's hope that this lack of freshness in the org this dullness is a sign that it's gone way past its prime and that it will soon begin to unravel at every level. The enthusiasm is evaporating fast.

Killing the WTS subtly programmed ideas.
by greendawn inafter leaving the jws can you recall any instance(s) where more or less suddenly becoming aware of a hitherto unconscious wts idea(s) subtly programmed into your mind, brought a great positive change in your persective of things and your overall disposition?
(once a subconscious idea is brought up to awareness it is easier to dispose of.
or perhaps the above happened when you really grasped the meaning of a programmed idea you were always consciously aware of.

It's nice to hear about good functional families in this day and age.
