I studied biochemistry and now work as a chemistry teacher self employed giving private lessons.
Being self employed is good because you don't have to follow a strict routine and can work as much or as little as you like. You are your own boss.

It is certain that a lot of dubs give in falsified reports to keep the elders off their backs so those statistics are already wrong. Then the GB could cook them further making them totally fictitious. They are well capable of lying and it is almost certain that the annointed figures are fabricated.
They don't want to give the impression that the org is slowing down. -

The JW new world system scum
by greendawn inwe now know that the new system of things as imagined by the jws is a myth, a poison that's meant to seduce the unaware into the org so that they can then be controlled, abused, and exploited.
but during the time when you were taken in by the myth what sort of things were you imagining about this delightful new world and your participation in it?
or perhaps deep down you never really believed it and ignored it.

With me this idea somehow seemed too good to be true so I never thought about it, it would be boring to live on earth for ever anyway, it is too small for that.

WAR IS NOT FUN
by chrissy inas i was reading the seattle stranger tonight, i came across a hilarious submission under the "i, anonymous", a sort of rant and rave submission column.
i thought someone else, a fellow gal perhaps, might get a chuckle.... war is not fun.
to the "freedom-lovin'" douchebag who left the "critique" of my bumper stickers on my car: you question how a "veteran" can be against war.

It was quite humorous but the veteran was right war is not an entertaining game.

AND NOW, THE REST OF THE STORY!
by Outaservice inin the 16th, and 17th centuries, everything had to be transported by ship and it was also before commercial fertilizer's invention, so large shipments of manure were common.. it was shipped dry, because in dry form it weighed a lot less than when wet, but once water (at sea) hit it, it not only became heavier, but the process of fermentation began again, of which a by-product is menthane gas.. as the stuff was stored below decks in bundles you can see what could (and did) happen.
menthane began to build up below decks and the first time someone came below with a lantern, 'ka.........boooom!'.
several ships were destroyed in this manner before it was determined just what was happening.. after that, the bundles of manure were always stamped with the term 'ship high in transit' on them which meant for the sailors to stow it high enough off the lower decks so that any water that came into the 'hold' would not touch this volatile cargo and start the production of methane.. thus evolved the term "s.h.i.t.

Are you trying to hint that the JWs are the dried up manure that produces poisonous and explosive ideas?

"This Generation" change -- fallout evidence?
by reagan_oconnor ini was reading the recent posts on 2034 and was wondering... .
the 1975 debacle left the fds scrambling for explanations for the mass exodus of r&f who were disillusioned by their bs.
the pat answer has always been, "those people didn't keep pace with god's chariot" and they weren't "strong in the truth" and allowed something so "minor" to "stumble" them.

It still amazes me that the rank & file accepted the loss of their expectations without an uproar I used to think that when the inevitable admission would come the JWs would leave the org in droves. This was their major card in the game of seducing people.
Before they used to tell them the end is definitely near then it may still be near but it may also be far, they now allow for the possibility of a very distant new world.
How did all those who had made big sacrifices on the basis of a new world that was near, react? -
