  my son matt at felger park in chicago this afternoon.

  so, happy and carefree with not a care in the world...it's so educational to see things through his eyes once in a while, to re-connect with innocence....there's no drug like it in the world :)

  why is it that good people are the ones who get treated like crap??

  its like you have to be a jerk, rude, mean just to have good things happen to you.

  if your nice then you get stepped all over.

  Good people are seen as naive docile do gooders and therefore easy soft targets for criticism and exploitation by the more predatory and grabbing members of human society. Perhaps there is also jealousy for moral superiority.
  
  That's why trying to be good usually backfires it brings the negative out of peolpe.

  now that i'm totally free of the wt & it's indoctrination, standing alone not sure of my purpose in life, not sure where to turn to.

  i still believe in god but find myself on the verge/or perhaps already questioning him.

  If one does believe in the gospel account then humans have to shoulder the whole responsibility for the sorry state of the world since the days of the apostles because under demonic influence they rejected the gospel and the grace of the Spirit. The opportunity for release from all things unpleasant has been there for a long time but gets wasted generation after generation due to a very petty mentality.
  
  One hopes this won't go on for ever and that the forces of evil will get checked at some time.

  i've seen so many of yall suffering with colds, flu, viruses, etc.....well....either yall or yall's family members.

  and it's kinda frustrating to sit back, knowing what i know and have experienced as cures for me and my family members, so that we don't get sick from these things anymore.

  it isn't ethical to advise yall to use these treatments, so i'll just let yall know what has worked for us and let yall use your own judgment on whether to try these methods.

  Can't we get enough of any amino acid by eating good nutritious food do we really need amino acid supplements, and is there any evidence that they really help?
  
  I have the impression that the health food industry is tricking people into buying these.
  
  As for cinammon it may (or may not?) contain an as yet undiscovered anti viral substance. Most medicines come from plant sources.

  Clever piece of mind manipulation must have been carefully written by a doctor spin or two.
  
  I wonder why the jws never properly inquire who the FDS is, is it the GB or the all the "annointed" and if all the annointed why is it that in practice only the GB are ruling over everything and dispensing food (ie poisoned food)and the rest are barred from dispensing food. The answer is simple and enlightening only the owners of the business are allowed to control it because it belongs to them not to any jehovah as they claim. It's not the business of outsiders to ask questions and meddle in it (it was Russell that put in the original capital remember and started the business)
  
  If only they would keep things straight: is this jehovah's org or the WTS shareholders org? Yes or no? Yes and no won't do because it is from a deceitful disposition and that's what they've been telling us for over a century now.

  Did you ever feel like you never fit in?

  when i was growing up in dubland, i always felt like i never "fit" in with the other kids in the cong or their families.

  i always knew deep down that i didn't like being a jw and their had to be more to life than meetings and field service.

  i just wanted to be normal, like the other kids and have sleepovers, birthday parties, after school activities and christmas etc..... my folks were and still are devout dubs and my dad in particular is the nicest man you will ever meet, he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, no questions asked.

  I didn't fit in because they were socially an impenetrable society and I felt they were like degraded human robots that lost their dignity by not claiming a right to question and criticise the GB rather than be the proverbial yesmen.

  The REAL origins of JW's (look it up at your local library)

  don't just go back to the 1800's to research jw's.

  go back even further - to the first century.

  in the first century, even during the time of the apostles, destructive sects were attempting to divide the congregations.

  For a long time I thought that the jws would feel very much at home with the judaising christians because they have that spirit of following the letter of the law. They are too works oriented and come down mercilessly on members that fail even on relatively minor issues (if they are really issues) eg smoking, celebrating christmas, attending other christian religious services, in the past for doing alternative army service etc
  
  True faith alone is not enough but they understand nothing about the grace under christ and the flexibility that it gives.
  
  Then relegating Christ to the background really makes them look like a judeo- christian heretical group they always have to obey, serve, worship, please, invoke, thank, praise, the jewish god jehovah never Christ and completely ignore the fact that the apostles called him lord and worthy of worship. That has to be a cult, when will you ever hear a jw say with Christ's help/blessing or christ willing.

  preaching (door to door), commenting, or giving talks?.

  i am currently fading away, but i occasionaly go to the meetings, just to show my face from time to time, basically to maintain my relationships with friends and family.

  i guess leaving everything, is a jump i am not ready for, just yet.

  Sometimes they have the mentality that even the weakest brother is better than the worldly people, so if you don't go out of your way to provoke them they may sit quiet.
