One wonders if the hundreds of thousands or perhaps even millions that surrendered themselves to be martyred for the Christian cause throughout the centuries from 100AD until now, have done so in vain. Not to mention those that led chaste and saintly lives though never martyred.
It shows the fiendish arrogance of the JWs, to write off so easily with one stroke the labours of so many fine people, everything they accomplished was in vain! This reveals so clearly that they are a ruthless vicious enemy of the Christian church. Not surprising given their masonic occultic connections at least during the first half of their existence.

144 000 blasted by the MATH (WT lying again)
by hamsterbait ini just took nathan natas chart for numbers of memorial partakers since 1935.. i worked out that on average 823 new partakers have been added every year since 1936, whilst on average 716 have been dying each year.. what is especially interesting, is that when the total of new partaker numbers almost exactly matches that given in w96 15/8 p31 for 1935, is in the year 1995 - they year they began to deliberately create the fog around the "generation" teaching.
(i used actual figures, not averages here).
i am now convinced that they have been paving the way for the feb 15 noolite since then.. i disregarded the figure for 1935 itself, since the witchtower gives two figures for partakers -.

What keeps most members in the ''spiritual netting'' of the WTS?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inbirds or any other animal can be caught with a net.
they don't have the wisdom to see what's coming.. what does the wts use that is so powerful that most members can't seem to escape?
what makes them so powerful that they can have so much effect on everyone of us?.

It's the enticing promises as others have already said the promise of a soon to be immortality and a trouble free joyful life, then it's the fear of the rest of human society which is so demonised by the FDS and also of their vindictive god jehovah. In addition there is the fear of losing family and friends by getting marked as a DFed person.
It's quite an enslaving psychological web of fear and promise but mainly fear: having the devil, the rest of mankind and god against you. -

I need a simplified explanation...
by XOCO intoday i had a sister do a bible study with me and i asked her if jesus really died on a torture stake instead of a cross and i showed her john 20:25 emphasizing hands with an s and nails with an s. what the sister had told me was "yes one nail though his hands and one nail though his feet" ok so now back to the emphasis of the s if that were the case why make hand and nail plural be written in the bible then?

I also concur that arguing about the cross shape is pointless Christians see the cross, whatever it was, as a symbol of salvation and not as something associated with a pagan deity as the JWs like to claim.
The theme is very Christian, it is the destruction of the overwhelming power of death through the death of the Saviour. -

It has to be interesting being an insider's perspective on the dub organisation someone taht participated in its inner workings. It shows that the GB are nothing but ordinary and not so saintly humans bereft of any divine appointment or direction.
Their treatment of the Malawi - Mexico fiasco is the classic revelation that shows they are a self seeking commercial organisation. -

They usually follow the list of UN recognized nations, if Kosovo does become independent they will list it separately but they won't have much success preaching among its mainly Moslem Albanian population.

With the JWs it's good as long as you obey and give them some of your time and support but if you criticise the ideology of the so called FDS, their leadership made up of ten or twenty ignorant self seeking clowns, then you get marginalised "he has been accusing the FDS" is a powerful signal for isolating someone.
The pathetic chorus reply is "only the god appointed FDS can decide what is right and wrong in jehovah's organisation even if it is wrong we must wait until they get instructions to put it right". -

Self Deceit and Faith.
by hillary_step inthis thread is inspired by a comment made on another thread, but i thought it would make an interesting discussion.. self deceit is described as a "misconception that is favorable to the person who holds it".
my premise is that faith is a form of self-deceit - lying to oneself.. so, i would ask of the "faithful" the following questions and would request that they be read carefully to ensure no that there is no misunderstanding of purpose.. 1) in what way is faith not self-deception?.
2) is a person who has faith in a god that you do not believe in, say for example siva, practicing a form of self-deception?.

Hillary, what is so far fetched about telepathic communication? Scientifically speaking according to the quantum theory everything is made up of energy including our thoughts and feelings and these produce brain waves that can be detected by instruments and indeed have their own electronic signature.
From there it wouldn't be a big leap to imagine these waves travelling in space and getting absorbed, received, by another brain that is tuned to them. In fact I am pretty sure all humans experienced telepathy especially with spouses and close relatives. The brain still holds many mysteries.
As for those getting deeply involved into demonism such as black magic suffering serious harm as well as causing it to others is another well known phenomenon that is worth noting and studying. I personally witnessed someone struggling to overcome demonic possession which happened after he entered into a marriage contract with Satan written with his blood. His anguish seemed very real to me and not some kind of delusion. -

Why is door to door the only preaching the "good news"?
by bluesapphire ini am sick and tired of this argument with witnesses.
every time i try to talk to anyone about anything jw related, this is the response, "but no one else is preaching the good news door to door...".
the jw version of the good news is nothing but amway or electrolux or kirby!.

Many Bible versions have wrongly translated the Greek words kat'oikon as meaning house to house but many have also got the translation correctly as: "in private", the same meaning those words have in modern Greek.
Also given the Roman persecution that would start soon after, no Christian would dare go preaching door to door. What's more not all but only some church members had the function of preaching, one of several that existed in the church. -

This sentence is a lie.
by DT indo you believe me?
what if the governing body said it?
do you think the dubs would believe it?

They are evil word twisters when trapped in a corner they will twist the meanings of any words necessary to get them out, but yes the JWs will believe almost anything they say unless it is really blatantly false. The GB are smart enough not to go that far.

Indeed many have stated that they found this forum to be very therapeutic and enabling by way of throwing off the evil JW spell. The WTS had close connections with occultism and demonism since its very beginning, in the line of: "and by your sorceries all nations were deceived".
Snake is as snake does.
