Quote:
No, I cannot name a non man-made religion.
Then, allow me to re-phrase.
I should have said "I put all religions in the same basket"
They are religious organisations made up of imperfect humans that are prey to their instinctive forces and desires and singularly incapable of developing a proper spiritual nature.
This is the age of the beast of the instinct inspired and directed man, a good religion will not appear until after it ends. Until then anyone seeking to be spiritual and to promote a truly spiritual culture will be suppresssed, frustrated, injured and almost certainly defeated. It is in the nature of this animal to act in that way.
Even the spiritual leaders the supreme guardians of human spirituality more often than not are dangerous parasitic vermin that lead their largely ignorant followers down a path of deception and betrayal.

Tell them how lucky they are in that they live in these supposedly terrible times rather than during the middle ages or any past era. The world at least in the West is better not worse than before.

Brave 8 y/o girl gets out of abusive marriage !
by Rabbit inwe read, write and shed tears over the plight of sexually abused girls & boys.
they suffer at the hands of not only authority figures like elders, priests, teachers, but also relatives and of course, strangers.. but, reading the following story is even, if possible, more chilling.
state sponsored child abuse!

That's the Arabic Islamic way of thinking and culture for you, the prophet himself got married to a nine year old girl when he was fifty and she was his 9th wife. They follow his example.

With the tower you will soon be feeling confused and lost. It lacks a true religious heart it's a cold hearted corporation like McDonalds.

IF there were two classes/callings why were all early Christians limited...
by oompa in...to only being called to heaven as part of the 144k?
god is not partial, and does not predestine people, so why could first century christians not have had an option for paradise on earth?
i got to thinking about this since last year wt opened the doors to heaven again for the masses for the first time since 1935. .

The anomaly is that once the positions got supposedly filled there is no point to becoming an elite by developing an oustanding spirituality based on many sacrifices because this won't give you anything extra.
And yes why didn't the early Christians have the option of being first class (lots of effort) or second class (a lot less effort) members?
Obviously an artificial concept. -

Hello
by DisconnectingDrone ini have been visiting this site and others for a while (to be honest those items about how dangerous the internet is made me wonder what they were hiding).
anyway, i have been amazed at how most of the issues i have are experienced by many others too.
but for starters here's my main ones:

You have picked some very good points several of the things you mention represent major flaws in the JW organisation. It's nice to see that despite the constant mind conditioning there are still people with a good working brain among the JWs capable of critical thought.
The GB could never explain how they (supposedly) receive religious revelations and more importantly why so often these revelations turn out to be horribly wrong and need to be revised. Or why they are so important (as they believe) so as to receive a god given monopoly on all revelation and authority at the expense of all the other anointed who are supposed to be fellow inheritors. Back in the early days the GB members were people that had invested a lot of money in the Watchtower corporation rather than people of outstanding spirituality. Things haven't really moved on since.

Excellent food with its own unique character. Highly spiced and very popular in Britain. Chicken Tikka and chicken tandoori are my favourites, I don't go for the very hot curries only the milder ones.

People can get somewhat addicted to cyber space socialising on this or other forums and online games for that matter. Such virtual socialising is good if not taken to exteremes if it doesn't interfere with real life concerns. So I usually keep it under control doing it as much as in good measure each time.

DID ANY OF YOU actually bring anybody into "the truth" from scratch?
by journey-on inin all my years of jwing, i never actually brought anyone up to the stage of baptism.. i had bible studies occasionally, but they usually fizzled out after a while.
i can't think.
of more than a small handful of witnesses that ever actually got a study from door-to-door.

Thankfully not though very active at one time and having some studies going before suddenly dropping it all after realising it was irresponsible to bring anyone in a place like that. If I was getting so unhappy with their cultic mentality that I increasingly began to see why bring anyone else in?
