Hi... and welcome !!
I belive that we are the same age. I know what you mean when you say that there are strict rules amongst Jw when it comes to sexuality.I know that if my mother was to find out that one of her children was gay or even bisexual she would freak. She told us that we would never be able to bring our boyfriend/girlfriend back to the house. Now that doesn't really affect us because we are all 'straight' - if thats how you put it. But it is still a very annoying thing to know.
And in answer to your question.... weare not all ex-Jw's. Well i personally am not (yet!) - like you i attended the meetings but with my mother because my dad was not religious. I haven't gone for months now and have even stopped attending the group meetings on a tuesday. I don't know what to belive - if there is a God or whether science really is the cause for us being here. Both seem inconclusive to me. But it's good to hear from you, alot of the people on here are very nice and will offer you some great advice.If you ever need to talk,feel free to pm me.

Well... this is something that i was trying to find out about a little ago and see if it was possible for a girl under the age of censent (16) to have an abortion without telling her parents.I know that it's possible for someone to go to a clinic and get protection, the pill, and a disease check.
Being around the age of the girl i believe that we should be ablt to have an abortion confidentially. Iknow that if i was ever pregnant i wouldnot be able to tell my mother. Hell, if my mother even knew i was having sex she would kick my ass. She keeps giving me the lecture of 'how there is plenty of time' etc. but is very naive to the fact that i am no longer a virgin.
It's not the fact that my parents are abusive, don't listen etc. cos thats not true. They are lovely people, i couldn't ask for better but they would not be able to understand me if that happened.I would prefer to make my own decision and not be judged. The only problem with this is when problems occur afterwards that could be very dangerous.
I'mstill in favour of confidentiality though!!

I guess simon what your saying is right but if you think about it alot of people have access to the net but not all that do will want to watch something so terrible. It's the fact that the teacher chose to show parts of the video and play the audio without showing and concern to those that could be sensitive to this kind of thing.The teacher DOES deserve to be sacked, what she did was not professional and could cause alot of children to be very scared.
I don't hate Bush or Blair for this either. I still say that the war was a necessary act that had rid the world of an evil dictator. The only problem now is that we have no way of being able to handle muslim extremists. They are going to cause so much pain to so many innocent people and the sad thing is.... they don't actually belive they are doing anything wrong. Makes me sick really , how something so grusome could be seen as the will of God!!!

The only time that i start to fear death are times like now.... after drinking!! The other time i say what the hell...live now and not for tomorrow.I will die a happy woman if i have done what the hell i want. I would rather live 10months of doing what i want than live 10 years of the jw shit!!!

It spends really.... telling little white lies such as 'grandma i love the top you knitted me' are always good because they don't hurt peoples feelings.However, big lies should be avoided... nasty stuff ... been in trouble lots of times for lying!!!

i live in wash. state.....i was a jw up untill like 4 years ago......im now 16....so u do the math........i had no friends while i was a jw....so when i got out i had a rough time makeing some...now im haveing the time of my life....being "worldly" is great!!!.

That's just ridiculous.Lol, half of my best friends are male and i would not change them for the world. Maybe it's just me but my congregation have never been as strict as most of the people here talk about. Maybe it;s the fact that they realised i was a no-hoper that was never gonna be like any of them? That's why practically all of my friends are worldly and we have such a ball

I don't understand why u were hated so much though? I mean you were a good jw child that followed all of the rules and attended the meetings?I never even made friends with any1 in the congregation except one girl who was unlike all the rest. Nobody ever tried to change me because when laura says no,she really does mean it. Everybody knows what i'm like.... even the ppl on here arev starting to learn!!
