Danish accuser admits it was all just lies!
by TheOldHippie inthe danish newspaper which has told so many stories about youths being molested in denmark by jws recently, today brings the story that the woman who came forth with the most sensational ones of these stories, how she and others were molested by groups of elders during baptismal preparations etc.
- to the police has admitted it was all nothing but lies.. i just wonder if silentlambs and the danish posters here will be as quick to bring these news and the translation out to the people just as quickly as they did when the original story was given by the newspaper?.
it is very boring to say "what did i tell you?

Pedaphile rule #1 NO WITNESSES TO THE CRIME!!!!!!!!!
Groups of elders? Come on. Very rarely if ever. That rises to a new level of stupidity. Besides how many elders do you know who trust other elders? No elder is gonna do something that some other elder, who might get a conscience later, might report to the authorities.

The JW Name
by Purza ini was talking to my boyfriend last night and i mentioned something about the jw's adopting the name "jw" in 1935.
(that surprised him) please keep in mind i have been inactive for 2 years and i never really cared before that, so my memory is a bit rusty.
he asked when they began and i said sometime in the late 1800s.

Shouldn't JDub's be calling themselves 3rd adventists? The first advent was in the first century and according to the WTS the 2nd advent was in 1874 and then apparently the 3rd was in 1914. And if they ever acknowledge the 607/587 B.C.E. cover-up then that would put the 4th advent at around 1934. And since when the end came in 1941 Christ returned to destroy the wicked I guess that would mean that was his 5th advent. And when he came again in 1975 that would have been his 6th. And I heard a rumor he stopped by in 1984 so that would have been his 7th advent. So does that mean JDub's will now be calling themselves 7th Day Adventists? I'm confused!

Religion comes first, human relations second, and if you're not a JW, the importance of you drops even more.- nosferatu
That pretty much sums it up. Now you're only 16 so I'm assuming she's only 16ish so it may well be that she isn't fully indoctrinated into the cult yet. You've got about a 50-50 shot. So youths really take to the religion others don't. If she's even talking to you that means she's not 100% all the way into the religion, because if she were she would not give you the time of day. (Frankly, she wouldn't even give other JW boys the time of day) So my advice to you would be to first of all, remember that you are 16. That may not mean anything to you now, but take it from all of us old people, at 16 you're still a baby. So don't take it all too seriously. And whatever you do, don't get involved in a religion just to "get the girl." If the girl is a practicing JW you won't get her anyway until you marry her, and by that time if you aren't a fully committed JW she will make your life hell. You're better off finding another nice atheist. Birds of a feather stick together.

"Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken along and the other be abandoned; two women will be grinding at the had mill: one will be taken along and the other be abandoned. Two men will be riding their bikes: one will be taken along and the other be abandoned. Keep on the watch, therefore, because you do not know on what day your Lord is coming." (Matthew 24:40-42 Zugz Expanded Edition) "But know one thing, that if the rider had known in what watch the breakdown was coming, he would have kept awake and not allowed his bike be broken. On this account you too prove yourselves ready, because at an hour that you do not think to be it, the repair man is coming." (vs. 43, 44) It's a sign, the end is near!!!
Don't worry, it'll all work out.

I remember a couple of times in the past when they 're-organized'... they never really tell the masses that it is to avoid paying taxes (or to confuse any potential litigation, by creating so many organizations). They always portray it as a 'furthering the kingdom work' type of scenario. Deceptive, if you ask me... like many of their other practices.- Jim TX
I think Bradley is right. They are a non prophet but for profit organization. They should get the most bang for their buck. If they stopped thinking about money I might have to reconsider leaving. . . . . . . or not.
Anyway, the GeeBees think the R&F couldn't handle those little things called facts that you mentioned, like taxes and litigation. It's just soo much easier to say that they're simplifying. . . again and again and again. Besides how would the FDS (Fully Disturbed Slave) ever get any "new light" if God didn't use the evil governments to impose taxes on them?

Conditions for my return:
1) The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy replaces The Holy Scriptures as the religion's main text. The Bible may still be used, but only insofar as it supports Douglas Adams.
2) All meetings are, of course, declared optional, although contributions are used to purchase quality imported beer for those who do decide to attend. A special play area is designated for children, who use the Society's old publications for paper mache and other art projects.
3) Door-to-door is replaced with free time to do with as you wish.
4) Conventions are held once every 2 and 1/2 years, so the novelty doesn't wear out so quickly. They are held in fine hotels, seminar-style, so attendees can choose which (if any) sessions to attend. Anyone caught wearing an attendant's badge will be stripped, smeared head-to-toe with honey, and thrown into a vat of angry red ants.
5) Formerly disfellowshipped, disassociated, and inactive Witnesses are restored to "good standing" and then promoted to "Grand Pumba Witnesses" for a term equaling the duration of their exile from the Organization. During this time, they are waited on and pampered by their former congregations' bodies of elders, particularly those who served on any judicial committees related to their departure.
6) The Organization reimburses all Witnesses for expenses incurred while distributing literature, funds the education of the children of those who didn't go to college because it was forbidden at the time, and cancels all loans owed them by local congregations.
7) The sign atop Bethel headquarters is changed from "Read God's Word the Bible Daily" to either "Don't Panic" or "The Meaning of Life is 42".
Dedalus
I never thought I would return, but when you put it that way. . . Throw in $10 for every day of the past 28 years of my life that I've wasted (that comes out to a mere $102,200) and I'm sold!
Begin training women to be elders; it will take a while, as right now they have had so little asked of them and they have more to offer than men- pistoff
I like the women as elders idea. But may I suggest that only attractive women be allowed at first. Talk about "speeding it up in it own time." Judicial committees with 3 hot elderettes!!!!! Where do I sign up!
