Elders will not marry couple
by Nosferatu inmy mother has a friend in another congregation.
she has been dating, and is wanting to marry.
here's where the "problem" comes in.... the guy is 20, she is 33. the elders have decided that they should interfere.

I think that when we were done, ... Now we don't feel guilt,. ... because we did what we were told.

Saturday Convention Talk (Return to the Shepherd)
by 95stormfront infrom the notes of "incognita".......... saturdays talk, return to the shepherd of your souls, was basically a 20 minute talk applied to those who've drifted or are drifting away; the basic jist was that we're all losers and that we'd better get reactivated and have a renewed vitality for the truth because without it, directly quoting "incognita", "our life is empty and meaningless and we'll have no joy".. inactive ones need the help of the elders because we're sinners and have lost our love for gee-hobah.
(so much for them not being able to read hearts.
) we have simply lost our zeal, and got carried away with the anxieties of life.

Kids say the funniest things!
by whyamihere inmy daughter lily is 3 years old.
she is now asking me all the body parts(all of them).
now i am not one to hold back so i told her what she has and what her little brother has when she asked.. so anyway..... now she sings songs about it.

Does the WTBTS still control your life?
by Honesty indo you follow the arrangement dictated by the governing body of jw's regarding df'd and da'd individuals?
do you shun the jw's like you are expected to by wt leaders or do you speak to jw's and greet them with a smile even if they shun you when you do so?
in complying with wtbts rules of acceptable behavior for da'd or df'd persons do you think that you are showing unconditional love to your neighbor?

The Love Is So Different
by Honesty induring my 15 years as a jw compared to the 'pagan' church i am now a member of the love is like 'night and day' in comparison.
no wonder jesus said that a person would know his followers by the love they showed.
i am gonna stick around where real love is a part of life instead of where it is a front for a demon inspired cult that calls itself 'the truth'.
