The strange case of my JW mom

my mother has been a jw for the last forty years.

she attends all the meetings and goes out in service every other saturday.

yet, recently she admitted that:.

Yes I have a super cool jw mom also, she believes it is the truth and goes out in service and to the meetings but she never pushes it on me and that is what makes her so great I think she knows deep down that some of the stuff they say is all cr%^*p she is the type of sister that is not afraid to tell an idiot elder what is on her mind.

I thought for sure when I was a teenager that the end was right around the corner,and that we would never see the year 2000 in this system of things.

one of the elderly sisters in my moms hall just passed away she was around 95 she was such an active witness all her years i remember from a young boy and she was always talking about how near armaggedon was ,anyway i bumped into her at the hall a few years back and she was around 90 and she was telling me how she can't believe how armagedon did not come yet and that when she was a young girl the org.

was telling her it was right around the corner anyway after all that hope she never saw it , it made me sad that she passed and how the years fly by.anyways i just wanted to share this with everyone.

The thing is I think these old timers really preached with their whole heart and souls but she told me when she was 90 that where else is there to go, I think the borg just drains these poor people of their lifes making it seem that there is nothing in life except the truth I also don't think there will be a group of witnessses as faithful as those old timers it is sad what they sacrifised thier lifes for and also what direction the wts is going.

My Aunt Is Told That If She Goes To My Daughter's Wedding She'll Be Deleted

as a regular pioneer and even if she gave a gift, she'd be removed as a pioneer!

this woman is 80 years old and has been pioneering for over 40 years.

my mother also is a pioneer in a different congregation and she is wondering whether this is a new rule from the society or is something that the local congregation has decided.

I don't understand is it a church wedding or is she da'dor dfd.I know of witnesses who went to church weddings and it was considered a matter of conciense I even called the society about this and they said that it was a conciense matter.

kind of nervous at the moment.. i'm one of the jehovah's witness kids that is looking for the whole truth.

i go to the meetings and have my own problems with the organization but i do believe in alot of it's beliefs.. since i got that out the way i wanted to see what other people think about the newer jehovah's witness teens.

By the way I I am not talking about the ghetto here I am talking about middle to upper middle class Chicago by the way Corvin great post about shitting or getting off the pot I think your daughters bf deserved the verbal abuse you gave him he sounds like your typical mixed up jw youth wanting to live both lives it is not his fault it is just that stupid jw upbringing.Good luck you guys.

i go to the meetings and have my own problems with the organization but i do believe in alot of it's beliefs.. since i got that out the way i wanted to see what other people think about the newer jehovah's witness teens.

Obvisouly secret this has been going on for years I remember back in 1976 there was some wild witness parties and there was funky dancing and some were going to bring marijuana to the parties I was totally stumbled I stopped my association with the witnesses for the sake to keep my spirituality strong HOW IRONIC I used to work at a restaurant and on the weekends all the elders children would be in there getting stoned and these would be the same kids who would be the first to raise thier hands at the meetings,it really made me sick so no I don't think this is a new age Jehovah witness youth thing this has been going on for years and it MAKES ME SICK HOW HYPOCRITICAL THEY ARE.I remember one congregation where they had to get rid of just about everybody for immorality,elders having fist fights at weddings I can go on and on. The message is great but the leadership and strict rules are what causes all these problems if I were you don't ever get baptized and just coast with them as long as you have to that was what I did and it works great.
