  A New Breed Of JW Emerging?

  is there a new breed of jw emerging, i wonder?.

  i know that there are lots of real brainwashed dubs around who see demons behind every car boot sale item and who scuttle off to the elders with every bit of tittle-tattle imaginable, but, i think that there is a new type of dub who quietly does just as he / she pleases.. this is what i think: many of the long-serving jw's who have seen the 1975 failure and the 1914 generation change are now approaching old age with something of a jaundiced eye, and are choosing to do their own thing in their remaining years.

  in conversations i am picking up it seems that the elders are being regarded somewhat derisively by many jw's.

  Hi Fred.

  In all seriousness I agree with the Englishman. This is very true. I have witnessed such behavior. It's a little bizzarre, but understandable. I think it's gonna hit the fan soon, the molestation stuff, doctrine, etc., and that a division will occur, and people may leave, but I don't think it's going to be all good or bad. I just think it's going to separate the thoughtless ones from those whom we truly used to call brother and friend.

  Fred, do you seriously believe that everything will just be "sorted out" with no consequences? An opposer of Jehovah must be those who rail against Him; I don't. I'm a God-fearing man who left an organization which was oppressing my family and I for no sin. They simply didn't consider us part of the club. And it just want my cong. or group of congs., but all over.

  I hope it all hits the fan soon.

  Don't be NEGATIVE

  take a walk through the cemetery and while you are there look at all the gravestones.. on each gravestone you will see engraved the name of the deceased person.

  in most cases underneath the name will be a birth date and date of death.

  for example: john doe, 4 may 1957 - 21 october 2000.. then there will be some short inscription.

  Tommy P....without euphamisms (spelling?) where would we all be. Pure in thought? Perhaps, but when I stub my toe and yell crap, or some other colorful variation, my soul is lifted....j/k....not trying to offend you.....just want you to have a joke or two tom...seems like you've had a rough time of it....well, this may please you.

  There's nothing like reading something beautiful from another man of God...sooo....try reading Rainer Maria Rilke....he was very in touch with God spiritually.....an example:

  Extinguish my eyes, I'll go on seeing you
  Seal my ears, I'll go on hearing you
  and without feet I can make my way to you
  without a mouth I can swear your name.

  Break off my arms, I'll take hold of you
  with my heart as with a hand.
  Stop my heart, and my brain will start to beat

  he was speaking of God. Try him out. Many of his poems comforted me.

  With a Bang or a Whimper?

  i'm pondering whether to go back to my congregation of record and make an issue of my departure, or just carry on with my new and happy non-jw life.. i'm sure that there are many here who have followed each of these paths.. what advice would you offer?

  i have a question & some statistics....... it has been along times since i was a member of the jw's, so please, to refresh my memory - what was their understanding of this prophecy?

  was america king of south (if i remember rightly) & russia king of north?
