I think Nos said it all. I guess that's our famous american work ethic!
Me, my job is feast or famine. I like to play with all the other JWD kids during famine time.

.
as a stay-at-home mom, i can occasionally find a few minutes every few days to play on the computer, but the amount of activity on this forum during us working hours is pretty surprising.
folks from other parts of the world notwithstanding, how are you american members able to post during work hours?.

ever have one of those days where you should have just gotten back into bed and waited for tomorrow?
i had one of those today!.
1) overslept and was rushed to get ready for work and get my daughter to school, then.
LOL!
My god, can I totally relate you your day. I don't have 'em too often, but when they hit, they hit hard.
Thanks for sharing. At least I'm not the only one.
Here's to hoping today is better than yesterday!

i live in a fairly small town, and i run into the witnesses from my old cong with some frequency.
in general, they ignore me, or give me dirty looks, or, in one memorable instance in the ladies' room at the memorial, call me a whore.
just for the record, i'm not even close to whorish, i'm pretty straight-laced; this gives me an idea of how much hatred they must be feeling toward me.. today, however, i was walking out of a store, when i heard my name being called.
Wow, Insomniac, that is a cool and very rare experience.
But you bring up a good point. They ain't all bad. Perhaps even the majority aren't. Its all about the leadership. Glad to see that a person in position of authority was actually that loving. That kind of man was nonexistant in my old congregation.

well, i had my most embarressing moment in my life so far this last friday night.. after having a talk with the boss about morale, i had arranged a bowling night for work.
i arranged for us all to have 2 games of ten pin bowling, plus food for 9.99 each.
we got a bottle of champagne and 10 behind the bar aswell .
Okay, I've got a good one. Its a serious gross out story, though, beware.
When I was 17 my boyfriend would change my car tires for me, to save me a few bucks. I went with him to the garage one time and found out how boring the experience is. I mean really boring, so of course I ended up picking my nose. Doesn't everybody? Anyway I was sitting behind him and we'd been talking but he hadn't looked at me in 20 minutes. He suddenly turns around to say something and there I am, pre-flick, getting ready to get rid of my booger. He stared at me with a look of horror on his face. "Is that a booger?" I was so mortified that I actually tried to lie about it, at first. But there was no question. He didn't break up with me, although I think he debated whether or not he should.
Gross, huh? I did warn ya.

politically correct, it isn't----but do you think there's any validity to "stereotyping" people or backgrounds??
?
Another good one Mini!
I love stereo types. I think they're hilarious. Most of 'em have a grain (just a grain) of truth, or they wouldn't still be around. Here's a couple of my favorites:
1. Puerto Ricans: Hot blooded, Firey tempered, Think their little island is the ONLY little island.
2. Germans: Love da beer, Da brats/meat in general, Polka
3. African/Americans: Mama's take no $hit, Love the hoopdies, Know how to dance
Just a few of my faves. So to answer the question, no, who cares if there are stereotypes floating around, as long as whole cultures and races aren't judged and weighed by them.

Hi Trey, and welcome.
Wow, talk about good advice. I was gonna add my two cents...but who needs any more?
Here's words of wisdom from the people who have been there. Good show, all. Trey, you're likely to find more of this stuff around here, so I hope you stick around. It'll at least give you ammo for the (hopefully) few and far problems you might encounter marrying into a family with Jehovah's Witness ties.
All the best on your wedding plans. I am in the wedding business if you ever need any small advice. I'd be happy to help.

i have been very busy, but i am getting some sleep compliments of my doctor?s coolness.
mary and i went to see nancy?s doctor for a long chat in which i went into a lot of detail regarding nancy?s indoctrination, her engrained fears and beliefs about, god, the bible, people and life, and how they relate to the culmination of this suicide attempt.
i explained what being labeled "bad association" meant to her and how devastating the prospect and reality of shunning is .
Corvin,
wow bro, I just got back from vacation to find this bizzare melt down. I am so sorry, my friend. I know we've only passed in postings a few times, but I read a lot more than I post. I feel very close to many people here, and follow their plights, even when they don't realize it. Again, just to add to the other multitudes, you have my support and love... way over here in Wisconsin. Thanks for keeping us updated.
And please pass on my feelings to your family if you discuss this place with them.

how are you ... and hope everyone is good.
anyways, i'm a muslim guy and i live in the states ,,, i do love living in here ,,, and my wife is christain " mormon " ,,,,,,,,,,, .
and i'd love to discuse with one of you about the bible ,,,,,,, .
Hi Looking-4-the -Truth, welcome to our board. Its not often that we get people of the Muslim faith here, so I hope you stick around. Your input could be quite interesting. If you're looking to discuss bible/koran issues, you've come to the right place. There are many here who are VERY well versed in bible scripture. Although, we will not know quite so much about your scriptures. This will be fun to watch.
Tell us more about your family. Where on earth would you meet, and marry a Mormon raised woman. I bet this poses interesting ideals about the raising of a family. Where are you originally from?
Part of my family is Mormon, so that is why I'm interested in your wife. Its a bit unusual for Mormons to marry outside the faith (just like JW's) because its discouraged.
Anyway, welcome, again.

Okay, Obviously Secret and Need for Speed. Two of my favorite little guys around. They're both very smart and out going for their young ages (16 and 13 respectively) and I feel this very sisterly protectiveness for them. I adore them both.
Speaking of.....has anyone seen OS lately?? I haven't seen the twerp for quite some time. He used to always greet me in chat at noon or so. School, I hope?
