  Problem recieving Watchtower & Awake "again"

  i posted earlier in the summer about some "racist" witnesses who told me that i could not recieve the watchtower & awake magazines, or attend the kingdom hall, because i was black & blacks were not able to understand the bible, "it was not for them".. i wrote a letter to the watchtower society & got a response!.

  i moved out of that immediate area, a couple of towns(about 40 minutes away).

  i contacted the watchtower society after moving here to have someone bring me the watchtower & awake.

  I wrote a letter to the Watchtower society & got a response!

  I moved out of that immediate area, a couple of towns(about 40 minutes away). I contacted the Watchtower Society after moving here to have someone bring me the Watchtower & Awake. I got a call from the local Kingdom Hall, asking if I wanted & home Bible study (I said no) & he said he would have someone bring the magazines to me.

  I recieved "nothing", no one came to my house. Finally yesterday someone came & rang my doorbell. My downstairs neighbor was in the hall when I got downstairs from the 3rd floor. When she saw that I was Black, she asked for my next door neighbor (who she had spoke with in the past), who is White. She said to give the magazines to her. She did not offer one to me, or my neighbor in the hall. When I asked her for one, she said she did not have another copy.

  I left the magazines for my next door neighbor by the door. She was home at the time, heard us talking in the hall & "did not want to be bothered with the Witnessess". Most likely she threw them out!

  if you compare other versions of the bible there is a clear difference in meaning.

  Visions..

  you have several vivid visions.

  in the visions a person/entity tells you that s/he is god.

  when this happens you are awake and you have not deliberately ingested any drugs.

  My personal experience is that "I have seen them use none of those tactics".... except tactic number 2.

  The "Witnesses" I have come in contact with did not PUSH for any type of mind controle situation. Sorry to hear that your congregation and experience was not the same.

  I was a vendor at a flea market at a Church (not JW) once, where the Pastor's wife "smoked". She smoked standing in the yard of the Church!

  about a month or so ago i posted about a "witness" who was a white supremicist/racist who told me i was not allowed to go to the local kingdom hall, could not have a copy of the watchtower or awake, & that the bible was not for blacks.

  There "scam" was, they put an ad in the newspaper in the "roommates wanted/rooms for rent" section. Then when you got there it was some old lady that was not able to take care of herself. You ended up trapped in the house with her & ultimately "taking care of her for free", & paying her some money as well.

  They "pulled this" for 6 years!

  What First Stumbled You?

  what was the very first thing that "stumbled" you?

  mine was: i was about 5 or 6 years old and of course i used to find it really hard to find things in my bible at meetings (couldn't find the books quick enough before they moved onto the next paragraph and used to get frustrated).

  i had the idea to make little tabs for the edges of the pages so i could tell where the books were - so i asked mum to help me neatly write out the book names on tiny slips of paper and tape them inside.

  I don't know if you would consider this "stumbled", but what got me to leave and go back to my old religion was "Easter".

  I had been going to weekly Bible study's and attending services at the Kingdom Hall with some friends. I was not going to be able to recieve communion for Easter service, BUT someone on the congregation was going to recieve communion.

  I was told "he knew he was going to Heaven", but we were to stay here on earth and become the slave class.

  That, to me, is something for God to deside(who goes to Heaven, and who does not)... plus arre'nt their teachings "that we remain on the earth in an earthly paridise"?

  I asked questions, I got no answers, and that was it for me.
