Nikki,
I may have been there, to see a friend from the hall I grew up in. Do you recognize the name "Mike Harris"?
it probably was one of my few happy moments of being a jw.
my mom, dad, and i were asked to be in the modern day drama, think it was in 1988-1990 (not sure exactly).
i played a worldly girl named "dolly winters" who was considered a bold and brazon girl who eventually studied to become one of jws because of a good example jw that she went to school with.

some dubs have got the may 15 wt but not the may 1st wt.
when the dubs finally get the may 1st wt will they even notice the 1935 doctrine changes??.
anyway, have they got the may 1st wt yet?.
Ok, ok, what am I missing? Besides the watchtower moving to a public/private split month, what is the date concern going on? I will keep looking for the thread that I must have missed, but if someone could nutshell it for me....
Thanks...
the first time i missed the memorial, i was sick and couldn't go, and felt guilty because that meeting was so important.. then another year, i missed again, this time i wasn't sick.
i still felt guilty, because i still believed in the religion to a certain extent.
i didn't go because i didn't want to go back to the meetings, and feel trapped once more.. maybe some feel guilty that they aren't doing anything for the memorial or easter, depending which religion you think is right, because after all jesus did say to remember him..
I think I get it now. The Memorial is just another way to convert people into being book salesmen. Here's my line of thinking. The wts puts a lot of pressure on each member to invite EVERYONE he knows to this one yearly "meeting". Its simply just a way to get outsiders to come in. Its kinda like when Sears has a "friends and family sale". The whole "Jesus" thing is just the excuse to do so.
This will be our second year (or third) year not going to the Memorial. I have a twinge of guilt, only because I went to them ALL MY LIFE. But then my reasoning kicks in, and I feel ok about it.
do you have a flat panel computer monitor?
i would like to hear from you about your flat panel computer monitor.
i would like to buy one asap.
i'm shocked!
if you remember my experience, in a nutshell, basically my ex-bethelite ex pioneer husband cheated on me with an older "worldly woman" from his job and left me suddenly.
i had no idea that we had trouble with our marriage, however, when i discovered the love letters from the other woman, he moved out, and a week after that, i received divorce papers.
Depressed,

i don't know why, but i was just thinking of this guy in my hall that sang so loud that it was embarassing to just be there.
he sounded like the love child of kermit the frog and miss piggy.
i remember trying to mimick his voice during one song and getting counseled by one of the bros because i had a few of younger guys laughing.
I went from a loud congo to a soft congo, without me making any changes, so I went from average to "meatloaf" in one meeting.
It was really my favorite part of the meeting, especially the final song, cause that meant it was about over.
We had one CO that just INSISTED on singing louder. At the end of his talks, at the end of the meeting, but before the last song, he would encourage everyone to sing real loud, and yes some of took his advise to the extreme.
the lead article on the watchtower home page is about gay marriage and how to make it acceptable to jehovah: http://www.watchtower.org.
but unfortunately, they still aren't handing out tickets to the corporate jet.
ah well, "glass half-full" i suppose... .
Thats great! ROFL.....
well i likeked the headline ;) he he .
so hov manny lies, can we find, you have to believe in, to be in jehovas witness ?.
i will start with the first one.. 1. you must not believe the humand race is older than 6000 years!.
Jesus went from door to door and instructed his followers to do the same.
