Just curious...."service, and gas money"

locally on occasion it was the common practice when "in service" to leave gas money for the driver.

i know that the individuals if savvy can get a tax credit for mileage for service (and i was once told mileage to and from public talks could also be included).

what i am curious about is do people still give the driver money for thier trouble?

wow, yeah i was looking fr the theocratic ministry school oral review questions and i came across an apostate site!

the site was www.jehovahs-witness.com and was just fill of retarded apostates!

they were not only using a domain name and header name that denotes a conection with the actual watchtower society, but where using it to blasphem the jehovah's true organization in order to help people break away.

Does your barber or hair stylist use a straight razor?

the other day i was getting my hair cut.

after she was finished using the clippers to trim the back of my neck she pulled out a straight razor to scrape the hair on my neck even closer.

i just about jumped out of the chair when i saw her try to trim me with that thing!

First the haircut, then the lathery foam, then the strait razor...I do not worry about the blood...never really thought about it....till now...thanks for that.....

i was trying to think the way the witneses do...i thought i would make up a story to help them see that what they belive is twisted.

as i wrote the story, it began to make sence to me.

I think it is a good explanation of the belief..but...you would then have to believe the bible too....

...God should have just killed Satan right away....yes..just like he did other bad people in the bible...

I was trying to think the way the witneses do...I thought I would make up a story to help them see that what they belive is twisted. As I wrote the story, it began to make sence to me. Boy, do I need help! Here is the story, and I welcome any input and thoughts.

John has two kids, Betty and George. John (Jehovah) and Mr. Jones (Satan) have a debate of who can raise (rule) John's kids (humankind) better. Mr. Jones (Satan) claims that he can do the best job of it. John (Jehovah) denies this claim, but allows Mr. Jones (Satan) to go ahead and give it a try. This way, John (Jehovah) can allow Mr. Jones (Satan) to prove to his kids (Humankind) that he is unable to raise (rule) them properly. Mr. Jones (Satan) takes control of the children (humankind), and kills Betty (part of humankind), then beats (sickness, problems) George (part of humankind) every day. Meanwhile, John (Jehovah) stands by, allowing this to happen, right in front of him. John (Jehovah) has more power and could stop this at any time, but decides that it is better to prove his point. John (Jehovah) has the power to resurrect George (humankind), so although he does not like the fact that his kids are suffering, he allows it to prove his rulership. Finally, after some time has passed, Betty (humankind) is dead, and George is on the verge of death in the hospital. John decides to step in. John (Jehovah) resurrects Betty (humankind) and heals George. All is well again. Betty and George went through quite an ordeal, but again, it was worth it, because now we know who can raise them better. In fact, Betty and George are happier now, without Mr. Jones around.

This is how the witnesses see it, right? My initial thinking was that it is wrong for god to allow everyone to suffer to prove that he is the proper ruler. But, maybe, just mabye they have a point. Help!

I am always looking for simple statements that make people think! What kind of father is that??

BTW, I too run a business, and am considering a fader...we run big ads with the flag all over them....whoops!

well for anyone following my saga, he wrote back, and I am VERY unsure weather I should even reply.

Here is what he wrote:

Well then I guess you better think about the stand you are taking. I'm not calling you an Apostate. You either are or you're not. I hope you are not headed down that path? However you did not respond some some of my questions.

He is being a bit of an ass...that is really uncalled for. I wish to drop it, but he thinks he's ahead, and he is. He gets to hold the high cards because he knows that he has more power in this case. Of course, I could go ahead and really lay it on him, but that would be the same as saying, "Well, its been nice being in your family, but from here on out, lets never talk, and make any family and business obligations very awkward, BYE." Then, of course any previous witness freind would be filtered out. I would look like an idiot..one of those people you knew that left the truth and THEY were the stupid ones.....

Listen to me vent........hey, thats what this site is all about right? Anyone think of anything clever to reply with? Just drop it?

I thinkest this is a losing battle...what we see so clearly..they see it clearly too...as apostate matirial.

It must be nice to KNOW that you are serving god thru HIS organization, and that people are either good or evil, based on their belief in this organization....sux for us though...
