today, i was talking to a close family member....he owns many stores of a business...he was telling me about a huge deal going down for him, in his favor.

he is an elder.

a lot of brothers work for him.

What to say when your asked, "How was your memorial?" or, "Did you go?"

you are fading, and dont want your friends / family from out of town to know that you no longer want to be a jw.

they may know that you are not going to all the meetings, or not.

but since the biggest deal to them has been the memorial, they expect that you went.. we did not go.

i am always looking for "nice" things to say to my witness family.

things that would at least make them try to think outside of their box.

here are my some of my favorites.. right now my top favorite is "tell me truly, honestly, the god of this universe, almighty in power, lord and master of all, all knowing, eternal, god of gods, (yes, hammer that point), has picked the jehovah's witnesses, out of all people, and out of all religions, worldwide, to represent him and his wishes, even though, the jehovah's witnesses have been wrong in the past, now, right now, if any person on this earth, any person on this earth, does not pay attention to the jehovah's witnesses, he or she will forever be destroyed at armeggedon?

American Idol

ok, i like american idol, but, did you notice, on the first episode this season, towards the end, a contestant, a black girl, came out of the audition room with a winning slip, and you could clearly see she was holding a black new world translation bible.. that is what i seen, anyhow.

i used my pvr to rewind it, and it looked exactly like the nwt bible.

hopefully she does well, and they tell her story, and she even wins!

no doubt there are several faders on the board.

if your like me, you had been active, and had been recieving the magazines at the counter, every week.

then we start missing meetings, then disappear.

Just an Idea

when i first started fading, and reading coc, i wanted to share the new information with my family.

i wanted to mail them copies of different things.

but as you all know, if you want to fade, you cant go around spreading these things.

my wife and i have not been to a meeting for well over a year.

we are not disfellowshipped, but would be if we admitted to the elders what we've been up to, mainly smoking.

we was both born and raised in the "truth".
