Perhaps the "sickness bug" Lloyd claims to have picked up is an STD that is resistant to antibiotics. Or it could be a new STD that there isn't any cure for.

Lloyd Evans Patreoff May 2024
by DerekMoors intime for this month's patreoff!
the fat one's numbers seem to be leveling off a bit, but we all know someone with his gravitational pull can't keep up momentum for long.. i made up another chart and used 356 for april because that's where he was on the 2nd.
also, this time last year was when he put out his "things are bad and i don't just mean what i look like naked" video and got a +187 bump.

In the US there are patient privacy laws. So it may be possible to keep one's hospital admittance confidential. Even if the elders did inquire, patient confidentiality would prohibit the hospital staff from divulging what medical treatment the JW received. Moreover, if the elders ask, you doesn't have to tell them every detail of your hospital stay.

Looks like Lloyd is stuck with making JW videos if he wants to keep getting donations. His Standup Comedy video bombed with only 5.5k views. Whereas his Shunning Changes video is at 63k views. His The Bible's Historical Inaccuracies video hasn't well either, only 14K views.
Interestingly his latest video, You Should Not Fear Him, which is merely a rehash of some of his older videos, has been up only two days and has 9.5k views.
It appears that Lloyd's viewers aren't interested in his attempt at comedy. Moreover, his viewers don't seem that interested in Biblical criticism. Their primary concern seems to be what is going on in the Watchtower.
Unfortunately for Lloyd, the JW religion is progressive, and he has been out for almost two decades. Much of what he was taught as "JW Truth" twenty years ago is "Old Light" and is no longer Watchtower doctrine.
If Lloyd wants his supporters to keep donating so he can keep his present lifestyle, he will have to work and keep abreast of Watchtower rules and regulations. He will also have to do what he seems to dislike, churn out more anti-JW videos.

Alternative Military Service is Now OK
by Sea Breeze inbut i wonder: how many jw's went to prison during the years that the wt did not allow them to perform community service as an alternative to military service?.
anyone care to take a stab at the numbers?.

During the 1960s in the USA a number of draft age JWs joined the Pioneer ranks. This satisfied the Selective Service officials and the Pioneers were granted Clergy status and exempt from the draft. One could also marry, get wife pregnant and get the father with dependent children deferment.
When the US abolished the draft and went to an all volunteer Military, young JW men began to avoid Pioneer service. In fact I remember an elders meeting where the CO said he hoped the government would reimpose the draft, that way there would be incentive for JW young men would join the Pioneer ranks.

You are so right, Elana. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if when he returns to the UK, that he would begin attending his father's Kingdom Hall and ask the elders to be reinstated.
He could claim to be the prodigal son and the JWs would accept him back. Then he'd sponge off gullible JWs for financial assistance.

Is there really a Bible rule against sex without marriage?
by Halcon inregarding the poster from jw headquarters, who claimed that the gb would eventually loosen the rules regarding sex.
the question is, is there really a bible rule explicitly prohibiting sex without marriage?
because this would be the only possible reason why loosening those rules would even come up in a discussion.

George, I remember the case you are referring to. I think it was in a Watchtower Study article back in the 1960s.

The TWO new things to come this year for J.W Org !
by Phizzy inwhile having my first strong black coffee of the day, i was thinking about what may be to come next as the org.
rapidly goes mainstream, and this is what i came up with :.
1) they will introduce for sunday, the after meeting fellowship, a time for just chatting but with the added bonus of coffee and snacks.

I think that the GB initiating a “Coffee Hour” after the Sunday Meeting is a possibility. Most Churches already provide light beverages and snacks for their parishioners after Sunday services. However, such a change for JWs would be approved only after Watchtower Legal had considered the effect of local laws and liabilities on the Organization.
Regarding the Blood issue, isn't the Watchtower's present policy “Don't ask, don't tell?” So all the GB would have to do is tell the JWs that all medical treatments and procedures are now a conscience matter and is not the concern of JWs, including the elders, as to what medical course of action an individual chooses.
