Why Is Alcohol "Good" and Marijuana "Bad"?
by FMZ inup until a short time ago (a couple of years maybe), insufficient research had been done on either of these drugs to say what the long term effects were.
only recently has it come out that certain kinds of alcohol (red wine etc) can reduce blood pressure.. so, with this in mind (the fact that they could actually be as bad or harmless as each other), why the heck is marijuana illegal and alcohol fine?.

its all got to do with money and the ability to tax a product before they can make it legal to the public.
nothing at all to do with the affects of the drug. the almighty dollar rules. its a whole lot easier to grow a weed yourself than it is to brew up some budwieser yourself.so.. how can they tax it ? hence it stays illegal.

. The bomb planted in the Kingdom Hall In Australia, where one brother was killed, was meant to kill everyone, and would have, but the bomb rolled backwards so the force or the blast was away from the friends, rather than aimed at them.
too bad god couldnt step in accurately enough to prevent the one guy being killed too.

on november 11, 2003 howard kanhe a jehovah's witness in good standing was convicted of molesting his daughter, in addition, his step daughter also offered testimony of her molestation but her testimony was kicked out due to the statue of limitations in california.
this was used as a basis to mount an appeal of the original sentencing.

Do you know any JW's that were Disfellowshipped or Reprooved over 3 times?
by booker-t ina girl i work with told me the other day that she is going to the elders and ask them to "reinstate" her for the 4th time.
i told her she must be out of her mind.
why would any jw go through all of that headache?

back in late 70s.. a boy i grew up with was my bros age.. i guess 18 , 19.. screwed a 15 yr old..got df'd.. 3 mos later reinstated.. few months later df'd for another 14, 15 yr old.(these girls were of my age group at the time). few months later reinstated.. he didnt even make it another 3 or 4 mos.. df'd for screwing around with a 17 yr old. he's in his 40s now.. stayed df'd married a woman older than him believe it or not and is a fine member of society. as far as i know.
but he got df'd more than anyone i knew.

by minimus inmy mother has been expressing to us how she reluctantly is beginning to see that the organization indeed has some problems.
she is starting to "feel" that things aren't right.
this past thursday, they gave a "marking" talk for my daughter who hasn't attended a meeting in years.

wow min.. i know your being very supportive of your mom. remind her that whatever she finds out about the wtbs .. god himself doesnt change. her love for god doesnt have to change her years serving god how she felt she should wasnt wasted years. she DID serve god to the best of her knowlege at the time. thats not a waste.... she's just undertaking a journey to learn more about god. free of being TOLD what to believe and it could be the greatest adventure of her life!

dunno why i'm so irritated.. its not like me... but regarding corvins statement
Each one of us as former victims of the WTBTS and their drones have the obligation, now that we are out, to help others. We can make changes and expose the organization for the sham it really is, but only if we choose to, only if we do it collectively.
i have an obligation corvin first to recover myself, save my kids and i'm not joining a lynch mob or even taking on the lynch mob mentality , i'm not that kind of person , i have a LONG road to go myself . as i said in my previous post.. we all have our battles to fight, dont hold it against us that choose to fight battles within our own lives, or battles other than the one you have chosen to undertake .some of us have other agendas which are just as important .also, some of us dont have your means or your strength everyones experiences are different, and everyones course of action can be just as different.

How can you tell if you are really loved?
by kls inreally what do you look for to know that your husband, wife, girlfriend or what ever the relationship might be that they do love you?
how can you tell it is love or just a matter of convenience ?
those that have had many relationships may be able to answer because i really don't know if i know the difference.

I really cannot see how a JW can love anyone because they have to much love for themselves.
thats a blanket statement. i dont believe that.. simply because i've seen what my parents have done for 40 yrs and the love they've shown for so many witness and worldy people.. of course they are old school jw's not todays tightass better than thou type. i know there are loving people within the congregations. but once you get up to elders and higher ups i think your statement may be more likely to be the case!
(my dad rarely goes anymore because of age and because a few years ago an elder told him he wanted him to attend more as a seat filler... isnt that a loving thing to say to an elderly man who went to prison for YEARS for this religion?)
