Too big for my britches :S
by Elsewhere inwhen i was in ny i didn't want to buy the cliche "i heart ny" t-shirt... so i got some boxers.
there's just one small problem... i purchased them as "men's large" and before wearing them i put them through the wash, but they appear to have come out as a "woman's petite".
any petite apostababes out there want a really nice pare of white boxers that say "i heart ny"?

Well, I assume you were honest in saying they've never been worn. There's nothing of Elsewhere in there at all, so no eye twitching necessary.
Now, if you were to offer your 8 year old ones with the purple polka dots and the pizza stain, I would pass.

Of course I realize that an unattached attractive unrelated female trumps a maternal-though-very-cute cousin any day, so no hard feelings.

If you can't find an eligible female hardbody to take them and supply said photo, then I'll take them.
Although if you give them to me I'm sure you'll nix the photo requirement.

alopecia
by BlackSwan of Memphis inhello all.. ok i'm wondering if anyone here has ever had to deal with alopecia which is bascially loss of hair.. the reason i ask is because we have noticed that our 6 year old daughter's hair seems much thinner.
at first we thought it was just because she was getting ahold of the scissors and giving herself a trim.
but we are both (her dad and i) noticing that it seems like its just plain thin and that there is hair in her bed in the morning when she gets up.. i just noticed when she got out of the bath that it seems thinner at the root area.

The only time I've seen spontaneous hair loss in a child was a toddler with two older siblings. She started losing her hair and went through a battery of tests. She had an excess of a certain vitamin or mineral; don't remember which one. Turns out her older sisters were sneaking her their multivitamins and she just had too much.
I hope your daughter's situation resolves as easily.

Not swearing is proof of the "truth"
by pennycandy inthis was a said by my jw relative to my never-been-jw husband this weekend, during a conversation about the prevalence of swearing.. "my friend maria's husband [was unbelieving mate, now a witness] always swore like a sailor.
he said he could see jehovah's witnesses had the truth because they didn't use bad language.".
for all the reasons for believing jw's have the truth, this was a new one to me..
