Absolutely, plus the asking price of course.

by freedomlover inlooks like we have sold our house and we will be doing the big move and transformation of our lives by the end of this month.

anyhow, in the midst of all this packing i've come across a lot of extra jw books and i was going to save them for a bonfire but i thought i'd offer them up to any of you that may be interested.

I'd like to put in dibs for the Proclaimers book.
The mags should make a nice little bonfire, if you can get them to burn

Not at all. I'm glad there're places like this where people with our commonality can share opinions and debate and have fun without the constant threat of "stumbling" another. That's freedom. Those of us who've developed a thick skin and our own opinions have a lot to gain here.
But you'd have to admit that most witnesses would gasp and cover their eyes reading some of what's here. They need "softer" ex-jw sites to slowly expose them to other views.

I totally agree. I would not send any doubting JW's here as their first exposure to "the other side". I think this site is better for the more seasoned who've lost most of their judgementalism and are now open to new things.
But those who just have some doctrinal issues or have experienced a lack of love but still believe are likely to be scared right back.

Oh, I saw that episode. I wouldn't go in that woman's house if my life depended on it. I'd much prefer hanging out with the nice "dark-sided" lady.

Those were great answers! I'm now sure I'm not a fundie. I was worried for a while.

"A Million Little Pieces" by James Frey
by HappyDad ini just finished reading this fascinating book about his drug addiction and alchoholism and have realized that my own alchohol abuse in the past was nothing compared to what he went through and came out of, in his own way.
this is one book that i highly recommend whether you have, had, or never have had a problem with alchohol and drugs.
has anyone read this book?

What's the word?
by bagpuss inif you could sum up your time in the borg with just one word, what would it be and why?.
for me it would be guilt.
guilt about not doing enough ministry, not enough study, doing too much secular work, the list seems endless.on the odd occasions i felt i'd done quite well you can bet we'd have a talk saying more, more more!.

I'll have to go with "guilt" also.
