My wedding was terribly stressful...my marrage is wonderful. As long as the marriage was happy forget about the wedding it is only a day and will pass quickly. Most women feel a lot of pressure about the wedding. Even if everything goes wrong you will still be married to the most wonderful man in the whole wide world....just a perspective from the survivor of an awful wedding.

chaos
by Country_Woman inafter 11 years of living in my mom's house, i've moved back to my old house, with the help of some professionals because there where some large cupboards i coul'nt handle myself.
however, i had to pack everything myself and that was a lot more then i expected.. my mother was a "collector" (so am i) and i coul'nt throw everything away - with the result that i have packed over 40 boxes.. .
my own house , ( i kept the rent) was used by viv (on her own) for more then 8 years and viv did't move all her stuf out - for her appartment is a small (but a very lovely) one: just a bedroom and a livingroom - with a kitchen-part in the living - so she left a lot of things (and yes, viv is a collector too) she planned to store (what she left) in the attic (when that is the right name- my dictionaries are still in one of the boxes) but at the moment that stuf is still everywhere in the house - so i am not able to unpack all those boxes and re-organise everything.. i un-packed 19 boxes now, (did'nt found my beauty case which i am in need for very much) can't use my office (i am working at home) at all: to much boxes still to unpack.. .

I am in fear of becoming a "collector." my mom and grandmother are major packrats. I throw things out every season to keep down the clutter.
Good luck unpacking all of those boxes...sounds like you have your work cut out for you.

Stopping smoking and EnglishMan
by Celtic inbloomin hec, i go on like this and i'll be so cleaner living person that day in witlesses will pale in comparison.. as some of you know, i gave up smoking cannabis several weeks ago, and to be honest, don't really find i'm missing it, was sending me cuckoo la la too much.
cut my drinking way back, this past winter, i was concerned that the amount i was intaking was getting a bit out of hand, plus not all the time, did i like what it was doing to me, and i'm sure others thought i was quite loopy on the stuff too, so, down to just a tinny a night now, 'cept for last night when i had 5 or 6, the post shows the effect, though of course, i did write that just for a laugh.. i got up this morning, smoked my usual hand rolled tobacco, and thought why the hell am i doing this, smoking me little cancer stick, even the taste of it is foul, disgusting.
so, just now i thought right thats it, so i slapped a 10mg patch on my arm and have decided to give it a ruddy good crack at giving it up all together as of now.

I remember during my recent studies being told how other churches ask for money and the KH never does. This makes it so obvious that they want some cash. LOL

Why Sex??
by PopeOfEruke insince being de-borged, i have come to appreciate that the answer to the old blue book "did man get here by evolution or by creation" is probably "evolution".. one thing about evolution which is still hard to explain is why or how did sexual reproduction evolve?
of course now that we have it, i guess most of us would not like to go back to the "old" way, of either dividing ourselves into 2, or else self-fertilizing ourselves from our own 2 sets of sex-organs (ewwww!!!).
i know a lot of men try this anyway but to no avail.......... but what motive force could have existed to actually evolve sexual reproduction in the first place?

There are scientists that believe in God aided evolution. This means that God was monitoring and causing evolutinary changes. This answer suits me better than evolution on its own or creation on its own.

I would FREAK out if this happened in my kids' classroom. I am in shock that anyone would even want to watch it themselves, much less display it for students.

why is everyone so afraid?
by woody02302 ini am new to this forum, and so far all i read is how we all hide from the wittnesses we now, or don't answer the phone, or walk the other way when they walk down the street.
to tell you a little about myself, i grew up a j.w, i was married when i was 21. my first wife was abused by a brother in her hall for years.
we were married for about a year , when one day i got a phone call from a man at the watchtower and track society.

their are quite a few lesbians that I know who were abused when they were younger. This is a terrible thing. Has she reported this in a legal manner? I really would. Nothing is going to erase your or her pain. I hope you can find comfort here or with a new group that you feel at home with.
