My Rather Large Extremeties Are Becoming A Problem.
by Englishman ini'm not excessively tall at just over 6 feet.
however, i must have been first in line when god was dishing out hands, feet and heads.
to date it hasn't been much of a problem except when i have to travel 25 miles to the nearest shoe shop to get a size 14 (uk).

"This must have been a recent addition to the books, not applicable in New York or false."
As I mentioned right after what you quoted, it was passed I believe last year by the Bush administration. You are lucky that you were able to get financial aid, because if you applied right now you wouldn't get it. Check out the link I posted, it has more information about the Higher Education Act. Murderers get finincial aid but not a high school kid that gets busted for a joint.
"Marijuana in NOT physically addictive, but it can be psychologically addictive. However, so can shopping, eating and computer/internet usage."
Everything is psychologically addictive, but that should be blamed on the person with the addictive personality, not on the drug. I personally am addicted to Final Fantasy XI Online but should we make that illegal just because I tend to play too much? Heh. Seriously though, I never recommend anyone take marijuana or alcohol or nicotine, because it's not up to me to make that decision for anyone, and I think peer pressure is stupid. I only give the facts so people can decide for themselves what they think is right and wrong. And I respect your opinion totally!

I need some advise (I want to get divorced)
by Leander ini'll start this post off by saying i love my wife, she has beautiful qualities and a sweet personality.
however i realize (and i think she does too, though she may not admit it) that since i left the org behind our goals and viewpoints are no longer unified.
as a couple we rarely fight or argue, we still have many of the same values but yet we have some issues that i know will never be fully resolved.

"The largest issue is with children, we both would like to raise kids but I could never feel comfortable knowing that any child of mine was attending the kingdom hall."
I am assuming this means you do not have children yet, but you and your wife have discussed it. I agree with you that I would never want my children to attend a KH, so my suggestion is to either abstain from sex or use condoms until you make the decision on divorcing. Once you have kids, it will become much, much more difficult. If you do have children, then I am sorry for misunderstanding!

The fall out of shunning
by unbeliever inmy mom has shunned my df'd sister for 10+ years.
my brothers and i are not baptised and she will have a relationship with us even though its very strained.
we have gotten together a few times over the years and had a meal together that mom cooked.

I think you are a good brother and should be proud of yourself for being there when your sister needed you. As far as your older brother goes, I think maybe if he and your sister could talk openly about your mother's shunning and how deeply it is effecting her then perhaps he would see things a little differently. Of course, he could just be in it for the free dinners and trips, who knows. I also agree that you should have a big family function, including your mother and sister, but if both of them show up prepare for a little drama. I would say that, if your mother makes a fuss or starts being abusive, she should be asked to leave the family function until she can behave lovingly and appropriately. Above all, don't fight or argue because that will just reinforce your mother's bad opinion of your sister, even if your sister didn't get into the drama, your mother would probably blame her anyway.

"Marijuana Tax Act. After a national propaganda campaign against the evil weed, the Govermernt
issued the Marijuana Tax Act which affectively criminalized weed in the year 1937. Restricting
possession of the drug to individuals who paid an excise tax for certain authorized medical and
industrial uses."The interesting thing about this is, in order to get the tax stamp that allowed you to legally grow marijuana, you had to have the marijuana in your possession, which was illegal. So you'd have to illegally grow the marijuana and go to the courthouse with the illegal marijuana in your possession to sign up for the tax stamp, but instead of giving it to you they would arrest you for breaking the law because you didn't have a tax stamp to grow the marijuana. A catch-22.
"You know why it's a gateway drug? hmm? Because kind of when you go to buy marijuana from criminals they usually are criminals. They sell other things like coke and herione."
Also drug dealers will lace the marijuana with other drugs, like cocaine, in order to hook their customers without their knowledge. I have heard of this happening many times. Because of the current drug laws, dealers have all the power to ruin their customer's lives and the customer's have no legal recourse, unless they want to call the cops on the dealer, which could easily get them killed. Dealers do NOT want marijuana to be legalized because it would mean a huge loss of profits for them, wonder why marijuana has gotten so expensive over the years? Because dealers want to make more money. If marijuana was legalized all that money would go to the government for social programs like drug rehab, welfare, etc.
"Not to mention almost all of our founding fathers smoked weed."
Thomas Jefferson grew hemp as a cash crop at his plantation.
"In can in some cases be psychologically addictive, however I see no reason why it should remain schedule 1 or criminalized."
Tobacco, caffeine and nicotine are physically addictive. Marijuana is NOT physically addictive. There has never been one case of an overdose on marijuana, but people die every day from alcohol poisoning (overdose).
Did you know that, if you are busted for marijuana, even an amiount as small as a joint, you are automatically banned from getting any kind of financial aid for college? Murderers and rapists who get out of prison are eligible for financial aid but marijuana smokers (who get busted by the cops) are not. This is because of a new Higher Education Act pushed through the government by the Bush administration. Were you busted when you were younger and wilder for possession? Sorry you can't go to college now!

On Montel - Boy Abused, Foster Care w/ JWs
by stephoness ini just saw on montel williams the story of a man named tyson who, when he was a boy, was sexually abused by his mother until he was 5 years old.
he was then taken from his mother and put in "bad foster care" with jehovah's witnesses.
he said that he had memorized the jw bible, so he was evidently there for awhile.

> Stephoness, did the commercial say what the Witness foster parents did to him that was abusive?
The boy said that they just used him for a paycheck, they didn't go much into the JW foster home but you could tell he didn't have a very good impression of the JWs. I am guessing they treated him like crap because he was "wordly" and had the audacity to "commit fornication" from the age of 1 to 5 years old. I wrote to Montel on his website, I am sure he will forward my message to the guest. If I get a response then I will be sending links to this website and others for support.

Had to check my license. My Mom knows my blood type but I always forget, and when I filled out the organ donor part on my license, I made sure to ask my Mom so I would write it down correctly.
