i just saw on the local news that a jw i have personally met and whose family i know was arrested for child pornography.
he is only about 30 years old.
this is the second case in 2 months involving an arrest for a child sex crime within the same congregation (the man on the news actually moved away a few years ago).

I disagree... Ultimately the WBTS are responsible for those persons they decide to appoint to the position of Elder. If these people do not follow the WBTS directives then they could 'fire' the 'rogue' Elders if they wanted to. Nothing that happens in a local congregation is hidden from the WBTS. I have never seen another organization with more reports than the JWs, they fill out a form for everything.

I have had personal experiences in this area and, as a child, I definitely know how impossible it feels to tell anyone anything. Now that I am grown up and realize that molestation and rape are NOT the fault of the victim, I wish that an adult would have stepped in, taken responsibility to do something, and called the police on my behalf. In my opinion it is much better to investigate 100 innocent people than to let 1 guilty person get away with sexual abuse. If I were to be accused of some type of sexual abuse of a child, I would rather have the police doing everything they had to to investigate me, than to just assume there's nothing going on. Interrogation and suspicions are worth it and I would gladly accept scrutiny if it means that the cops will take the same stance when the next child comes forward against their abuser. If I had to live the rest of my life with people staring at me that's okay, as long as the police take an aggressive stance against child abuse. This is one area where I think you kind of have to err on the side of protecting the victims because they cannot protect themselves.

The information I read must have been older information and not updated, because I do not remember reading the specific paragraph of two witnesses to seperate incidents (although I did remember reading the other parts). Either way the entire "two witness" rule is so subjective it can easily be misused, even with the new additions. And I know that many congregations completely ignore certain rules when it suits them, for instance if the victim was molested by an upstanding JW then the Elders might decide to interpret the "two witness" rule differently. But if the child was molested by a "worldly person" then the requirement of proof is greatly lowered. It's disgusting really.

Please take a look and see how the JW interpretation has changed severely over the years. Then ask yourself, if this is the most accurate inerpretation, then why is it constantly changing it's mind? Which version of the JW beliefs are you talking about because what a JW says now is very different from what the exact same JW said 5 years ago.

Hmm... what about the Prodigal Son illustration from that one dude, ummm *thinks* you know, what was that guy's name? Oh yeah... JESUS! In the JW version the father would look at his prodigal son and, seeing him looking all scruffy and starved, the father would get out his gun and say, "I don't recognize you" and shoot his long-lost son in the face. Ugh!

Even among jw's, and the two witness rule a person would not get away with this many kids, because once there are two witnesses - to two different attacks - they will be DF'd.
Actually that's not true. I did research on this and according to the Quotes website and the Elder Handbook the two witness rule only works on the SAME offense. And the Eklder book also says children do not necessarily count as witnesses and can be disregarded because of their age. So the only way a JW would get DFed for sure for child molestation is if he decided to molest a child with another adult JW in good standing in the room watching.

I have a spiral sun design just above my right knee so that when I wear a skirt and cross my leg, it draws your attention. It's also a good place if you need to hide tattoos for work, because you can wear pants or a long skirt. I have seen a lot of women with tattoos on their lower back and that is a very popular spot because it draws your attention to the booty heh.
i have been dating my girlfriend for a little while now.
we have a great relationship, for the most part everything is great, we get along etc.. .
but she has a concern about me.

That would make me cream my panties right there... maybe you can throw in a manicure and offer her a DISH FREE DAY where she goes and gets her hands prettified and you agree to do all the dishes for that day. Here are a few more ideas for things I would love for my man to do for me:
1) Say "Oh baby you do *whatever* so well!" or "Wow baby *whatever chore she did* looks so good!" Just hearing compliments can make a woman's day (and it's cheap).
2) Plan a meal for a night and cook for her, doesn't even have to be elaborate but she will appreciate having a break from cooking, especially during the summer when it's hot over that stove. And even if you don't think you can cook, they make really simple create-a-meal packages you can buy at the store that are as simple as boiling some water.
3) Before she wakes up in the morning write a whole bunch of little love notes on post-its and write down little things that you love about her, then plaster them throughout the house, hide them in her purse, in the car be creative. ;)
4) Treat her to a spa day and you do t all yourself. Give her a full body massage, let her take a nice leisurely bath (draw the water for her and add bubbles or bath salts), research some very simple spa treatments (like cucumber slices on the eyes with a nice facial mask you can buy at any store), burn a few candles and play some music to set the mood. Anything you do to pamper her will go a long way...
5) Take her out on periodic dates, married people sometimes forget about dating, and it's fun to find some inexpensive museums or parks (pack a picnic lunch with some good wine) for a day or night outing maybe rent a hotel room (www.sybaris.com) once in awhile to spice things up.
6) Handmade gifts show a lot more thought than store-bought ones (which can be very cool too). If you have any artistic talents, turn it into a gift. I have seen an episode of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy where the man made glass beads and made a necklace for his wife. You can probably find a ceramics store or woodworking shop in your area which offers classes or hands-on workshops.
7) Look at some of the classes offered by your local community college, usually in the Physical Education section they offer some dance classes. Most women love to dance and, if you aren't sure about dancing, just remember it gives you a chance to put your hands on lots of parts of your wife's body in public, which can be a thrill in itself. besides women know not everyone can be a Fred Astraire which is why they have classes in the first place. ;)
8) Make a CD of personal songs that remind you of how much you love your wife, maybe even add your voice in between songs saying how much you love and appreciate her. Put it in the car CD player so the next time she uses the car, she turns the ignition and suddenly all this romantic music and her husband's voice is with her on the drive to work or shopping or errands. When she gets home be prepared for some lovemaking because it will probably put her in the mood, maybe greet her at the door in just a big red bow in a strategic spot.
