  Facebook and employment interviews

  listening to this in the news got me infuriated!.

  there is a growing trend that employment interviewers are asking for facebook profile with login password.. they are looking into everything you post.. there is no law in the books to prevent this!.

  even though i'm self employed, i think this goes beyond what's required of hirees!.

  years ago here in Jersey, the IRS went out on a spree to get the restaurants and pizzerias for tax evasion.

  most of these guys were putting alot of sales under the table, and paying 1/2 their staff under the table.

  The IRS put a requisition from all their suppliers on goods ordered. they used a formula and figured out what they should have made.

  guess what? they got busted for alot of $$$$.

  I have been made aware that my merchant services (amex, chase, mc, visa) will report to the goverrnent all their payout to me.

  they are getting ready to use computer analisys to catch tax evaders.

  to a point, I applaud them! there are still alot of industries transferring cash through hands without paying taxes.......... there are also alot of under the table employees being paid!

  had 2 in my last congro.. 1 was trying sssooo hard to be an m.s we used to say he was brownoseing out (not reaching out) he would allways fall all over the c.o and hang around the elders like the bad smell he was.. another one was an m.s for years and brownoseing out to be an elder....him and his wife kissed every available arse,they used to make me sick when the c.o came around...he finaly made elder only to be removed 3 months latter.. .

  yeah, we have them and there's always more trying to take their place.

  One guy used to buy computers for the CO, and used to always upgrade the elders computers.

  another guy, used to always invite the elders/co's to dinner and give plenty of green hand$hakes

  i have been in terrible pain for several days now.

  i don't know what i did but my low back hurts like hell and there is a lump like a knot there.

  nothing had helped until i used my wife's tens unit.

  GB member gets pulled over...

  so one day a governing body member got pulled over on interstate 95 for erratic driving (frequent lane changes, slowing down, speeding up, etc.).

  immediately, the highway patrolman asks to see the gb members drivers license.

  the gb member happily obliges and hands over his worn out new york state drivers license.

  i just heard this within the last day.. i had no clue that the society had a travel agancy within its offices!.

  anyhoo, in the area i live they called numerous hotels for deals for the convention and the gm whom i know through friends told me that they play hardball in getting the maximum commission possible for refering people.

  he said the average is about 10 to 15 percent of the room cost.

  I remember having an assembly in Canada and having to book a hotel.

  we had to travel 1hr. from the hotel to the assembly. what a waste of our time.

  no wonder they're rich.

  I haven't felt guilty about not donating a penny in their contribution boxes for close to a decade!

  Regular Pioneers no longer appointed by Branch!

  a letter was read this thursday from the platform that the branch will no longer approve or remove regular pioneers.. it was called a simplified arrangement that the local body of elders would decide who should be appointed or removed as a regular pioneer and then to inform the branch of any appointments/deletions.

  i guess the bethelite who had that assignment is now unemployed.

  Is the Watchtower shy about repeating their new "generation" teaching?

  as i recall in the 1980s talks and watchtower literature, magazines and books were always talking about the "generation" teaching and how it proved armageddon was going to come any day now.. but am i correct in thinking they have only actually mentioned the new "overlapping generations" teaching once or twice in the literature?

  why are they so shy about talking about their great new interpretation?

  it's almost enough to make you suspect they are a embarrassed about it.. mention it once or twice, don't dwell on it, hope everyone just accepts it, and don't bring it up again.
