my fiancee's sister was visiting - she was here on business and yes she is a jw.
she was talking to me about answering some questions i first posed to her about the cult.
she goes in her bag, where i guess she keeps all those tracts, and pull out the "what does god require of us" brochure.. she was trying to prove to me there was no heaven for all believers, but preached this paradise earth stuff to me.
If Jehovah uses these "miracles" (or as JW's say "directed by God") then why do other JW's die from being at the wrong place/wrong time kinda accidents?
Here in Northern Jersey, 10+ Witnesses were mowed down by a car when leaving Stanley Theatre Assembly? This happened by a Witnesses husband
picking up his wife, but was still an accident! Why did not God save HIS people by telling them to be away from the sidewalk at that time?
i recently gave a public talk, and i really felt bad about it.. it was the public talk about the great flood of noahs days.
the is so much evidence that this great deluge never happened, but that is something you can't tell the audience from the stage.
(i will tell about that evidence if people are interested, but it is a bit off-topic now).
I've refused eldership 2 times, and one day feel like letting go my MS title.
Anyway, it was easy telling them I was not going to do public talks anymore. Life is easier when I
don;t have to prepare for 50 hours to do a 45 min talk!
i was talking to a good friend of mine that is an ex-jw and we were having coffee the other day when he told me of one of his good friends that killed himself because the elders publicly "reproved" him.
i felt so bad when my friend told me of this horrible story but he said there are many cases of jw's committing sucide before they are df'd or da'd or publicly reproved.
did you know of any jw's that killed themselves before or after being kicked out of the wt?

He was divorced, and was fading..... But depression made him get terrible headaches, and lost major weight. They found him dead two days too late

I will NEVER push my children into this, and will have to "wash" every word from the Watchtowers to not swallow them
i'm talking over 55 years of age that know the gb are frauds, but because they have no retirement benifits worth anything feel forced to hold on to this position.

i watch this every year and was able to go once as a kid to the 500. .
my grandfather raced cars(midgets) and once had a speed shop across from the 500 track and sold car engines and car parts.
